Did you bleed all the air out? Crack the petcock on top of the fuel filters and turn the power on. Watch till you have a steady stream of fuel. Mine got air in it one time when I cranked it with fuel shutoff on. Bled it and it is fine.
I am 80 miles from Haspin in Ohio (45122). I have a M109 Shelter box that I would trade on a winch or hard top for my M35A2. I would sell it out right for $750/best offer. I am unsure if I will make the rally UNLESS I can make a deal on the box.
If you are talking rear main bearing seal then is it installed in the correct direction? I have never done a deuce seal but on most engines they are directional. The lip of the seal points in towards the crankcase.
Yeah I was looking at yours they look nice and I will order a set. I need the stars and the hood numbers though. Also I am looking for a decal. I used to have a stack of them but we put them all on our hotrods. It said "Caution Driver and Co-Driver must wear hearing protection Mil-spec...
I was told that someone around here makes stencil kits for the Vietnam era that would be correct for my Deuce. I am going to paint it the original OD green and want to put at least the stars, truck serial number, and US Army. I ordered the paint yesterday and hope to have it by this weekend or...
Ok guys what did I mess up? I reached into the truck to start it without getting inside and flipped the accessory switch on then hit the start button not realizing I forgot to push the fuel cut off handle back in. NOW when I crank the truck instead of the 1/2 turn of the engine to start I have...
Pretty cheap, do you get a kickback or something? I can only assume most aren't skilled or resourceful enough to make their own or they wouldn't put me down for wanting to contribute. I will make one with a cardboard template and post results. I can only assume that somone traced a original...
Thanks, I hadn't thought about making my own pattern. I do have a nice 3 foot pipe wrench I could use but where is the fun in that? Do you think the people who make them pay the guy who originally invented the tool? I'm sure they don't.
Is there a pattern out there for the compressor wrench? It would be cool if someone had a pattern or traced one on a 8 1/2 X 11 sheet of paper and scanned it in so tight wads with scrap steel could make their own. Thanks.
That is a very nice piece. Normally when it comes to project cars/trucks I am captain upgrade, but in this case I am trying to keep it simple (for now). I am going to save that link for future reference it is a very good looking well built mount.
Why would it click? I have had a clicking in a manual transmission in a car when I had a cracked transmission case causing some kind of misalignment and gears to touch somewhere inside. I wonder if some pin or spring came loose inside. I would drain fluid and check its condition as well as...
I will not run mine past 1100 then. I have yet ti see it even touch 1100, primarily stays at 8-900 and if I give it **** it will go a tic above 10. If I see it get that high I will probably back it down. Thanks
