IIRC that unit has the plenum vane to direct air to either or both compartments. One in front of the unit as shown in the pic, and one behind the unit, would be into the cab in that pic. Nice!
Yeah the balloons flew, and everything. but I did not get to see any of it because I was on duty inside the box. Since my glasses were broken and I had only shades I was not safge to stand a post at dusk or night. So I did not get to see the 'glow' or much else. Except for the first few, all the...
Friday morning, I drove the deuce out to the airfield. The event staff had most of the shelters (pavillion/canopy tents) set up. One of them was the CP. There were pallets of bottled water and a redi-ice cooler. They brought the genset out to the RGT CP where I parked the truck, but later we had...
Oh man you are going to swell my head saying things like that, it's not that stupendous. Sorry to take so long. I intended to write it then, but somehow something suddenly overcame me and I could not stay
awake.
So, the GTBR, (http://www.gtbr.net), maybe you know is a balloon race. Despite...
well it's finally over.. The Great Texas Balloon Race, an annual event at the Gregg County Airport near Longview, TX.
I have waited till now to make an account of this event due to it being fraught with many perils, unexpected changes, and difficulties, leaving no real time to collect my...
I was interested in 6x6 trucks for many years. One day, I wrecked a 1-ton van by slamming it into an abandoned K-car in the left lane of the interstate around a blind curve at 65MPH. That was a very interesting experience.
Negotiation of the value of the van with the insurance co. lasted about...
I went back and corrected it. 59 is 2650RPM by the GPS and the tach. Tach could be off. The 395 speed was calculated relative to the "56MPH 2650RPM" figures seen in the manuals. I was assuming 56MPH was 2650RPM. No way to measure RPM except the tach.
It should keep it much cooler than 100+ degrees. If you are sealed up decently.
Note the pevious comment about positive air pressure at the very back of the cab in front of the box and how it might oppose the condenser air flow on that kind of unit. Those are intended to have few or no...
I don't suppose you could tell me what the TPN1062A power supply is for could you? I have one but whatever it powered is long gone. looking for the schematic.
Do they wear as fast as 11.00x20's? My 11.00x20's have gone some 15000 miles and still OK. When I had 9.00x20's, the fronts wore quite fast.
Aftermarket wheels have an offset that splits the diference for non-flipped or flipped hubs, therefore making a better track between front and rear. I am...
handy chart.
I believe the axle spacing on the deuce is 48". Therefore 48" tires will rub. I believe the biggest you can put on is the 395R20 type.
Not being a tire expert, the biggest thing I took away from those threads is not to use "MPT" tires on rims designed for regular 9.00x20 and...
