    24 Volt alternator problem

Hmm... Well, the first thing is to confirm it is in fact a failed alternator. You should have 3 connections to the unit: Power feed to the batteries, a ground, and the 14 ga wire that is controlled via the accessory switch. Is the heavy cable that goes to the batteries have battery voltage...

    24 Volt alternator problem

You could try Saturn Surplus, or Memphis Equipment. What is wrong with it? All things can be repaired. Why not just repair it? Might be cheaper, might not. But you would know the status of the internals.

    muffler

Re: RE: muffler One of the advantages of the NAPA muffler is that it does not restrict flow at all. It's a straight through design. It would be wise to clamp the base. If welded at the bottom, you won't be able to remove it when servicing the truck. I have some more pictures on my...

    looking for Whistler Turbo

Re: RE: Re: RE: looking for Whistler Turbo The NAPA lowers the exhaust noise quite well even with the C turbo. I don't feel a need to wear hearing protection with that muffler.

    Diablo Build Update (pics)

No, that looks more like 16 hours worth of work. It looks great. I just remade every part of the interior in a VW Pickup. My headliner was only ~40x40" and it took me an entire day. That is a clean install and finishes off the truck well.

    M35 60 AMP Altenator troubles...HELP!

Is the feed from the accessory switch (ref as the waterproof connector) dropping voltage with the engine running and alternator charging? If that feed isn't providing correct voltage to the regulator, the regulator will believe the batteries/charging system is under high demand and produce a...

    Bugs getting on my paint!

Good ideas. I have a bug zapper going right now and two fans. Hopefully it will do well. Before I started painting today, I let loose a bug bomb to kill what was there.

    Bugs getting on my paint!

I am in the middle of painting a newly acquired truck... I am painting in a 10 x 20 tent with sides. Everything is going great but for one thing. Bugs! They have been making their way in there and sticking to the paint. I have just finished the second coat of primer. I would like to...
