on the passenger alternator, check the brown wire for resistance to ground.
The brown wire and its mate compose the circuit that "excites" the alternator into charging. I'm betting that there is more resistance on that wire than should be there.
while its possible that the door locks were changed, its a royal pain to change out three locks (tailgate has a lock too) instead of one.
Check the key in the tailgate lock as i doubt they would have gone through the trouble to change out that lock.
that wont help you at all to figure out how much they have been used. butsomeone with access to the supply system might be able to tell you when the engines where ordered.
Actually with the stock filter a cucv only holds 7qts.
The extended length filter ups the capacity to 8qts, but you cant run the extended filter with the stock exhaust system in place.
