Got 2 nice sets of fiberglas, including headboard w/staves holders.....and I'm not that far from you!

I think you need to scrap that thing, and come back up here, so I can put you in a REAL truck! Actually, that bumper decided it was embarassed to be seen in public, and won't let the truck start till you get it painted! :jumpin:

Took the rest of the 5 liners out today. 4 of them looked brand new, BUT, #3 piston looked like #5. All scored up and evidence of heat buildup. Inside of the liner was pretty scored up on the bottom half. So it was getting ready to crap out. Good thing I went ahead and got all 6 piston sets...

Also, don't forget to bring along some "patience". Good thing to have at some GL locations.

I hate waiting on parts.....won't be here till Monday. Went ahead and ordered all 6, not that much more labor to go ahead and start with all fresh liners and gaskets. Had the head magna-fluxed and it checked out OK. Guess I'll put an airpack in a deuce and mirror bars on another one this weekend.

319, what are doing coming down around my AO?

Changed the oil just prior to loading for the rally, old oil looked fine, nothing milky. Antifreeze also clean. Jus one of them things, I reckon.

Got the head off today. Looks to be in good shape, but will take it in to be checked for cracks. Now to find some piston/liner sets....anyone know of a good source???

Had just left for the GA Rally, and was about 20 miles from the LZ. aua

Well, dropped the pan today, and found out why the 250 sounded like a garbage disposal. Looks like the #5 liner grenaded. Piston is still in the top part of the liner, so no "apparent" damage to the block. Will pull the head tomorrow and see if we can figure out "why" this happened.
