Gee that truck looks familiar:-) I am the guy you called about the brakes on it.I was gonna lowball her on her price. You beat me out of that one, it's all good though, glad it went to someone here.I think it is a pretty solid truck, if you would trade the radio parts in that truck(antenna...
Sounds like the owner is more of a collector(Fred Sanford) instead of a seller.I have dealt with this kind before.Sometimes if you keep working it you can have success, sometimes not.
If I lived close I would stop by once a week and try to wear him down, but that's just me.Don't try to...
This one is at a house hauling company, looks like they removed the bed and added a 5th wheel, I can see where that would be useful in that application.I bet the bed is laying around the place somewhere, it is one of those places where it looks like they have never thrown anything away.

when I was in the Army we used to ground hop them in the can before we put them in, no coolant, no fan.It really sucks to get one put in to find out it is a bad motor, didn't happen often but I have gotten a bad motor in a can(Bradley)
I am a letter carrier too, you sure get a lot of strange looks and questions when you park your deuce in the employee parking lot;)
Pulled out 6 people on my way home from work last night,
If you are talking about fibreglass I agree, great upgrade.I got lucky as a local reserve unit wrecked their M35a3 and before they turned it in I conned them out of the the troop seats that were in the truck.
