More engine problems (Documentation of testing fuel system, failure of Hyd Head)

Shoot. I'm sorry it turned out to be the HH Patracy. I was really rooting for it to be anything else. (for your sake)

    Rod Bolts

That failure was a hydrolocked motor... not a rod or bolt issue. The 12pt bolt still keeps it's good name on that case, at least.

    Rod Bolts

There were a few other threads on rod bolt failures, but nothing I have seen that had this info and certainly no mention of two different style bolts with a failed one, good failed, and new "beefier" style. Great find and thread! I remember a few folks with resources to test bolts who were...

My first M37, a junkyard find.

You have my dream shop. I'm going to have to bribe you with steaks or beer and copy your facilities. Subscribed to the build as well!

More engine problems (Documentation of testing fuel system, failure of Hyd Head)

I'm sorry you're having trouble, but thanks for the details and the thread. This is a good one for diagnostics and the dangers of WMO operation.

You think some crud might have just lodged in the port?

More engine problems (Documentation of testing fuel system, failure of Hyd Head)

I would be somewhat surprised if one load of bad fuel would take out the HH that fast. Did you check the screen on the lift pump?

Findlay 2013 Armed Forces Day Event

Just found out about this shindig. I have some work to do to get my baby up to her first show.

Saving Deuce and 5 ton parts from going to China!

Dang! I could really use those bows/parts. Any extra gear wrenches, jacks/lug wrenches?

Saving Deuce and 5 ton parts from going to China!

There is probably no way I can. Thursday afternoon would be my only chance and I doubt my GF will be kind if I take Valentines day to head across the state hunting more green iron for "La Otra Mujer."

    Heath's M35A2... the beginning

I'm trying man. Just work and school keeping me from doing anything I actually WANT to do... So instead I horde parts and get ready for the few nice days I have when they do happen. It's always a Monday night, right?

Saving Deuce and 5 ton parts from going to China!

Just spoke with him in-between classes... he seemed to think the trailers were worth "at least" a $1000 each. I told him roadworthy in good condition M105s are running $500 give or take, and his response was "Oh..." He has no idea what these are actually worth, but seems to have been looking...

Saving Deuce and 5 ton parts from going to China!

As long as it is going to someone who needs it and not to a scrapper, I'm cool with it. If you make it out there tomorrow, see what he has left and what he wants. My phone number is 269-217-4489. I have cash, or can use postal money orders/paypal etc. Very interested in the M105 and any...

    Heath's M35A2... the beginning

EGT has arrived. Auber Instruments... red led, 1/8npt adapter, sealed tip probe. More spares may be on the way... I'll do a full install with pics when the weather breaks.

Saving Deuce and 5 ton parts from going to China!

I called and left a message. Any chance you might know anything about that M105? Or how much he wanted for the stuff? I would gladly beat the scrappers price, and I could use spares/parts. Are any of you guys local if it has to be picked up immediately? I have cash, but the time to get my...

Saving Deuce and 5 ton parts from going to China!

I could use some bows and even that old cover. Did you get the axles? I was only looking for one, but it seemed he was only selling them as sets. (The front axles are the only ones that are worth much, and all I want is a spare rear/pumpkin) Any extra wheels or decent tires would be good too if...

High engine cranking speed with new batteries

The engine should crank to 300rpm... at least.

Saving Deuce and 5 ton parts from going to China!

What do they want for the axles? Might be nice to have an extra around just in case. Any good wiring harnesses on the M35?
