Most of the time when a strap breaks or poly rope (hookless) it just falls to the ground. Chains and cables become missiles. I almost exclusively use straps.
I would think that would work but I have honestly never tried to use the deuce air system for anything other than its on board functions. Never even aired up a tire with it. Even though I have an inflater hose that hooks to the glad hand.
I run a 1/2" air line. Actually I run a 1/2" air line with high flow fittings even with my smaller impacts and air tools. They operate so much better with the increased flow. Especially with 100ft of hose. I'm limited by power source locations as to where I can put my compressor so I need...
I loathe the led turn signals and tail lights. Yes, they are wonderfully bright, but they burn out. By burn out I mean totally die. Bad grounds kill these things so fast. In my opinion your money and time ahead if you just put led bulbs in the incandescent housing. That way if one craps out...
I have the older version of that impact. It looks identical except mine is gray and black instead of just black. Works pretty well. It busted every lug off my truck and 105 trailer with no problems. My buddies truck it stuggled on a few. But he had a peterbuilt dealer work on it before he...
Thanks man. The worst part of the whole project was installing 6 new injector lines. Since they were bent in the vague shape of the old ones it took about an hour of tweeking each line to make them fit.
The next worst part was dealing with one of my local parts stores trying to get a set of...
Thats exactly my point. When you bleed the system with dot 5 the moisture stays on the bottom of the wheel cylinders. With dot 3/4 the moisture is in solution with the brake fluid. So a system flush draws out most of the moisture.
I have always been a fan of ram assisted steering. It takes a lot of the stress off of the steering box and pitman arm. Its easier to break those parts than you might think.
I agree. I'm not a huge fan of dot 5. I have seen plenty of totally destroyed wheel cylinders and master cylinders because condensation sat on the bottom of them and caused major rust damage while using dot 5. Not to mention brake systems with dot 5 can be infuriating to bleed since the brake...
Loaded radius of a 395 is 22-23 inches depending on tire inflation. Loaded radius of a 9.00-20 is 19ish inches. For me that made a 3-4 inch height increase. That dramatic of an angle change of my ramps should make it interesting the next time I attempt to load my atv. Which in itself is...
Not to hijack the thread off topic but it's interesting how on some trucks 395's rub something up front and on other trucks they don't. I have no clearance problems at all. Didn't even have to adjust my steering stops.
