Just a thought from a "part-time" mechanic......try pressurizing your fuel system. Check for seepage at the connections, to make sure you aren't sucking air into the system under load.

There's ONE of your problems. Run a load of DIESEL thru it, along with some Lucas Diesel treatment. Also, empty your primary filter cannister, fill it with the Lucas, and fire it up. If it still doesn't run right, you need to get your injectors professionally cleaned.
The problem with stock rims: they squeeze the sidewall in too far for my liking. In a "low air pressure" situation, they tend to spin the bead loose. You can't inflate to proper standards, and get a good footprint on the tread.
