My m1008 does have one - i bought the truck from gl. I have a m1028 that does not have one. Looks like it never did. Also have a m1009 - looks like it never had one . I have a 1988 4door crew cab air force truck - it does have one. All civilian chevy 4x4's with auto trans 350 or 400 transmission...

My m1008 had one on it when i bought it . All my k30 trucks have them . It helps to keep your transmission housing from cracking.

They came with dual exhaust and yes you have to have the brace.

Shift points are adjusted with vacuum modulator on tranny. I am not going to mess with that till after i have it running - if any adjustments are needed it is very simple to do with allen wrench. I am using a heavy duty tci towing converter - 6 lug - designed for a 1 ton chevy 4x4 1990...

6.2 no harness , no alternators . , no air cleaner , ran fine in truck , $300.00 . Motor is complete right now but the parts listed should be sold today to another member. Thanks

Pulled the diesel 6.2 today . Will install 454 by the weekend. Will post some photos tomorrow. Have alot of 6.2 engine parts for sale cheap. Motor ran great - had wiring problems. Should be a easy swap . Stay tuned

Do you have a part number for that hitch from curt manufacturing ? I was told that they make a hitch that will bolt on without removing any excisting lift brackets .thanks , hal

When i bought my truck - m1008 - somebody had cut the wiring harness and removed the alternators. I now have 5 or 6 wires with no ends on them that need to be connected to the correct terminals on the correct new alternators i installed. Anybody that can help ? Thanks , hal

There are 2 different size 10 bolt axles made by gm . S 10 trucks and el caminos had a small 10 bolt cover and full size blazers,suburbans, trucks had a larger 10 bolt cover

Would gl be of any help ? Are they the only ones that can issue a title/paperwork for a m1008 that has never had a title ? I hate to part it out as it now runs great and is in great condition. Thanks again , for help

I bought my m1008 in georgia form a towing company. It sat in their yard for 2 years. I did a car fax it it has never been titled . They gave me a bill of sale only. How can i get a title for it ? I live in florida but also own a house in georgia . Thanks
