Hot rod and proper break in also believe your talking about gas motors oils. Did you do the proper break in with the very high levels of zinc and not use syn. oil to start with? Our trucks are not race cars that demand a lot more. Yes there are additives and google is are friend.
As I said...

Lets look at the number and it seems like most of the diesel oils are still in the ball park of 1200 ppm. Just saying.

Seems like everything I read the guys having problems are on older engines that...
Rotella T5 CJ4 has 1181 ppm zinc and the old CI4 had 1400ppm. My .02 we are still good.
As for the fuel it's funny how the question has been coming up from almost day one of SS.

Looking at one web sight Rotella T multi grade SAE 15w40 cj4 with triple protection had 1200 ppm zinc.
I just changed my GMC 3500 to Lucas 15w40 full Syn. and they claim 1281 ppm.
My GMC 3500 has EFI live and I can roll coal or dial it down when I want. Mechanical or computer controlled we have control.
All rtadams89 has to do is get a black marker. If he has a heater he will have to leave it hooked up just lay it over the motor. If no heater then it will take five mins...
Pull the rubber boot back off the master cylinder push rod just a bit and if it's leaking then you will see it. Oh don't be right under the master when you do it or you will feel it.
No one read Franks post how they do it in Az.
If I remember right the Cummins turbo PT has a A/F screw that can be used to control some of the lower end fuel. Same as the Deuce but it's the smoke cam /droop screw. If you don't think you can do it then I bet there is member close to you that...
Lets see if you can lower the fuel by the droop or smoke cam. Then one thing that might help is don't let the engine cool down before the test. Don't let her idle for a long time before the test and maybe just maybe if you remove the air filter just before you drive it in to the shop. PM if you...
Is you FDC bypassed or has your fuel been turned up? If the FDC was bypassed the droop might not have been turned down. Turning down the main fuel also might help a bit.
**** has no fury like a tired trucker.
In the late 80's in Northern Virginia there was a cop running around. His wife ran off with a trucker and he hated truck drivers and mess with us bad coming out of the quarry. He also stopped trucks on I95 and RT 66 all time for no reason to hassle them...
No worries. I just sold Razer 6 nos AMBAC two hole injectors and told him to pop test before install. Yours can be cleaned if needed and your tips have no wear.
Don't know but guess we will find out. From what I see my trailer has been painted twice and I don't know how well they prep it the second time. I figure this paint /WD40 will be good enough to see me in the grave. If I ever thought about painting the trailer I would have to get down to the...
Seems like a seat of the pants test could be a little bias. Doubt anyone would be willing to dyno before and after injector replacement. Seems like if one was to have a friend at an inspection station and before / after emissions test might be one way.
On the other hand check / pop test any...
If you hold the needles and tip to long in your hand the fit gets tighter. I told the guys my .02 in the other thread that the injectors should be checked before installing them. I had 20 Ambac two hole injectors and they all were put up with just bit of light oil. You did the right thing...
