I found sometimes it's easer to use a new longer bolt on the clamp and cut off extra when done I like the clamps that have the guide built on the ring so just at the end when you tighten the ring the boot does not get bunched up.
Though is was at five mph the truck should stop in 20 feet with just the emergency brake pulled and truck aired up. I would be willing to bet if I was pull just my parking brake on my 915 she will lock up at higher speeds just going to be a long stopping distance. Would hate to try it though...
I don't know if they ever stuck with colors for control. Red to me would be emergency. Service blue. Major air black. Maybe yellow for air brake/ air to service treadle. Seems to me color is not a problem being able to identify quick maybe. One could go with one color it up to you. AS for the...
The one thing I have found when I have use any dot Synflex fitting is when it seems to be tight then I tighten it even more. Then came the dot push lock so much easer and faster.
Abrasion factor to high and the cost. Better to stick with the steel line and use damping. I have synthetic line on my 1500 pound Polaris RZR and it has very little use but it already has signs of abuse. When winding up under load you can't always control that it lays correct and the line...
Don't remind me about to furry little yard rats. Had one leave a big nut around my throttle linkage on my Chevy Z71. Real fun when the throttle stuck open.
The question has been asked before. I don't know but we will find out. I will never repaint my truck so I did it and the trailer. Seems like if you were ever to paint it might cause more prep work. When it sits in the sun for a couple of days the shine goes away and it looks much better.
What did I do to my 10 ton today. One gallon of WD/40 and a cheap spray rig. Still need it to sit over night then light hose down and wash the windows.
My .02 it's not a good idea to flat tow FMTV with geared hubs of a truck that has not had the hubs serviced/ check. Even if the rear axles have been removed and front drive line is removed.
I say no as the end tips are designed to spin. That could be a leaking line problem if the installer did not check the lines tips before install. I have seen tips with just a tick of metal missing and that would cause a leak. Find the leak first then figure what the fix. Need to know what is...
If the lines that were put on the IP had a problem with the ends then it's a line problem. You need to clean real well and trace the fuel. There has been problems with a crack in the head. There has been problem with the center plug. If you still can't see right where the fuel is coming from try...
Reverse sprag engagement would be piston /threaded rod to the rear or in. If a sprag does get get locked up the truck will hop and you will feel a bad drag on the drive line.
