Yea Ray I have one but I don't know if I want to trailer it without brakes. Not that my truck could not handle it being very careful it's the sheriff or DOT I worry about. No good deed goes unpunished.
Yea Believe the trailer is on the North side of Jacksonville at the Arlington truck holding yard.
He is trying to find out where it is. DRMO Jax is 100 mile round trip to Interlachen. Stark is 140 mile round trip to Newberry. DRMO to Newberry is 200 miles. Plus all I have is the 915 to pick it up and tow it if the tires are good.
Did not want to drill any holes, I had the pig tail so five bucks for the LED light and I now have a proper tag light and plate holder. The tabs were already on the trailer and with quick pins I can remove the whole thing if I need to.
Will did you ever figure it out. My 915A2 has the HT740 and the HEMTT calls for the HT740D. From what I read the difference would be the torque converter. My 60 series engine goes to 2100rpm and the 8V in the HEMTT goes 1800 I believe. You still got any HT740's?
Found this so maybe show there...
Hope I don't step on many toes but is there a secret way to tell if a member is a paying member?
I just saw the cute little tail light that lights up when a member is on line so was wondering if there was something like that for members that help out with the cheese.
Agree if you don't take them out and get the engine oil and water temps up it would happen. Myself if I start it I run it, if I don't have time to run it down the road they sit till I do. I always thought that not bringing the oil/water temps up to correct temps is bad for any motor. Does not...
Guess the question would be does there seem to be a excessive amount of the fuel oil /engine oil mix leaking.
Seems like the wet stacking is more common in generators that run longer times without a load as to our trucks.
Of course there would be more unburnt fuel while we warm up the truck and...
I have never had a problem with the screws being to tight that hold the fuel control in the Head. Also I use the O ring that came with my rebuilt Ambac Heads. Funny though this guy had a problem and not over tightening cured the sticky shaft.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuzZBicUIok
I agree with the cut off did not get behind the fuel control. If that happened and the fuel control was just a tad tight but still moveable he could have left shut down cover off and just used his finger to pull back the fuel control to the 4 o'clock position. Very important that the fuel...
Stuck fuel control. The air cleaner housing has a port on the side that we connect to the air compressor for fording. That plus stuck fuel control is most likely why it did not shut down when he blocked off the intake air. Also this is why we always leave the fuel shut off cable pulled all the...
That's a good idea testing the truck so you know what to expect. They say when you are teaching your child to drive a car with antilock brakes you should to take them to a large vacant parking lot and have them do a emergency stop. That way they wont panic when the brake system does what a...
What did I do to my 10 ton today. The front hubs are oil floating and the old axle caps did not have a drain plug. I am going to start to blend the old oil with the Lucas hub oil and do a couple of changes as I use the truck. Hope to get at least a 50/50 mix of the Lucas. My hubs have always run...
That would be Gainesville Fl. on I75 or I am also close to I95 around Saint Augustine exit. I live in between the two so ether side of the state I could grab them.
If it can happen Pete has my number to let me know they are coming my way.
