As long as it has a bed with side tall enough to help keep school kids contained I say bring it on. I have seen TJ at the last two of these with his vehicle so maybe we can make the end of the parade really loud. Pete that is a great looking five ton! Bring that or Godzilla along and we will...
James,
If we find someone to bring me the MKT at the rally I am happy to get the hard top the rest of the way to Florida. I am in Tampa but we can easily figure the Florida part as I have family in St. Augustine. It will fit nicely inside the MKT for the ride.
On the thermostat if it just pegged and even after you let the truck cool down it still shows that it could be a simple fix. On the passenger side front part of the engine is where the wire connects, if it is loose, detached or frayed enough it will tell the gauge to go all the way hot. Had...
Thanks for the replies. Our unit caries liability insurance for any official events that we attend. You need to have your standard vehicle insurance. The riders will climb up before we roll and down when we stop, there is no getting on or off during the parade.
I know that we are a long way out but wanted to get this rolling. The annual Town & Country Veterans Day Parade is on November 6 this year. Once again I am bringing my Cub Scouts to the parade and am looking to see if anyone is interested in bringing out their deuce or five ton to help haul...
That is great. I expect my MKT to see much more service with my Cub Scout Pack and the troop when my boy crosses over this year. I am running propane on the two stoves that I currently have and will do the same if the MKT has the gas burners. I plan to have it up and ready for Scout use by...
Here are the GL photos of my new MKT.
For any of our northern members considering the trip to the Georgia Rally but tight on fuel funding I am happy to contribute fuel money to you for the effort of getting this to me in Atlanta.
Russell,
Glad to see that one of the other ones went to a fellow steel soldier. I won lot 5550 in the same auction. Now if someone else got 5551 we ended up with all three of the "good" ones from the auction.
no gopher, I am thinking maybe some of the special recipes I learned in Korea. On a side note, is there an SPCA shelter near??????? Thanks for the suggestions on folks who may be able to help.
I have an MKT in Ohio that I would like to get down to Florida or to the Georgia Rally. It looks like I have pick up covered if needed.Trailer looks like it is in good shape and the travel covers look solid.
Well with any luck and a little help from the Steel Soldiers underground we will have an additional MKT at the Georgia Rally. Won one out of Columbus today. If any one is coming from that area and can deliver it to the rally please let me know INot sure how complete it is but it looks okay...
Take them out of the wooden crate before moving. That will dump a lot of weight, make it easier to move and allow some of the moisture to start escaping. A full set up in the box needs a forklift but you can move the individual bags on your own for short distances.
Well, here are the photos of the conversion that I did on my M2 burners. I have left them looking fairly stock but have removed as much of the extra / unnecessary gear as possible. To try and make sure that there were no issues with the fuel tanks I opened up every port on them and let them...
I did the same thing for two of mine and now have them working. I will get some pictures posted as soon as I can get them off of the camera. First try was a 10 psi regulator attached to the stock burner and neck. This worked but gave off to little propane and I ended up with a nice campfire...
Gentlemen,
I wish that I could have attended but other priorities happen. Had my children at Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure until 9:15 P.M. Looks like another successful get together for the West Central Florida Steel Soldiers. Apparently eleven hours of roller coasters and other...
