    inner lug nut removal

I can verify that a 3/4 impact with a 3/8 in hose will not work off the truck air. The threads weren't rusty either. They looked like they had been painted.

    inner lug nut removal

I though I would post my solution to stuck inner lug nuts. I used the geared lug nut wrench on the outer nuts with great success. That thing sure takes the work out of that job. My trouble started when I got to the inner tire. Nothing was working. I couldn't figer out how to use the torque...

    Charging Deuce Batteries

You could do that on a CUCV but not on a deuce. It wouldn't be balanced. You could do 4, 2 in parallel and two in series. That is the way 5 tons are. Another good battery charging reference. http://www.batteryuniversity.com/partone-13.htm

    Charging Sys Wiring Diagram Question

Actually, 27 - 14.4 = 12.6. That looks a little low to me. I like to measure across each battery. I like to see about 14 volts with the truck running.

    rear oil seal?

Does the deuce have a rear axle oil seal like the one in the front axle? I am referring to part number 7521789. http://www.odiron.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=4_48&products_id=205 My rear axle is leaking gear oil. From the trouble shooting: DIFFERENTIAL LEAKS OIL Check axle seals...

    ARRGGHH!!! Damn Relays!

Most people do a manual conversion before they go to the time, money and effort of finding a replacement controller card. The card can occasionally be found on ebay or at the usual surplus dealers. This has been discussed many times on the forum.

    Blinker trouble

I was using TM9-2320-361-20 starting at page 2-110. I was using the latest version off of LOGSA. Any of the -20 manuals should cover it.

    Blinker trouble

It was the flasher. I replaced it with one off of another truck I have. It appears to have the old style flasher so I took some pictures of both. The bad one I took off the truck on the left and the old style one I replaced it with on the right. I took it to get fuel and now I have a leak...

    ARRGGGGGHHHHHH! Tire frustration!

And if you buy less than 4 new tires, the new ones have to be mounted on the back, even if you want to replace one bad tire on the front.

    Charging Deuce Batteries

I did try to keep my post brief. Here is a link to the long version in case the original poster missed it. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?t=16173&highlight=battery

    Charging Deuce Batteries

This is true most of the time, but if your batteries are running down fairly quickly and need recharging often, you may have a voltage drain even though the truck is turned off. In that case, when you apply 14 volts across one battery you will be applying a reverse charge to the other one which...

    GL the company is SOLD!?!?

There was a clause in the new contract that another private company was to be formed to inspect what was sold to be sure nothing went through that wasn't suppose to or something like that. Perhaps this is who this man is going to work for? I am just going off what I remember from reading the...

    Fuel polishing

Looks like a system to clean fuel and fuel tanks that sit full at the ready for long periods of time. http://www.asa-environmental.com/Catg1.asp?Cat1ID=92&gclid=CLzzwa_rjpcCFQoHswodq22k_Q

    Blinker trouble

This is the correct answer to my question and pretty much straight out of the TM. It's too cold to go out at night here. It is actually getting down below freezing now. :) 27. BOTH DIRECTION SIGNALS INOPERATIVE Test 1. Test left and right flashers. Step 1. Turn main light switch to SERVICE...

    Blinker trouble

My turn lights have quit working. Everything else seems to work with the possible exception of the brake lights (it is kind of hard to press the break peddle and watch the lights at the same time). I did a search and learned about the ground wire. The ground was loose but cleaning and...

convert M1010 electical to 12V details

Care to share a part number for a direct bolt in replacement 12v alternator? I wonder if you could isolate the ground and wire it up like the other CUCVs?

    Massachusetts Enhanced Inspection

Seems to me that MA has killed the HMV hobby in their state. That is except for the old men's jeep club. I guess you could put an ice chest, bed and portapotty in the back and call it a house car. The feds really don't have any jurisdiction if commerce isn't involved according to the...
