They sell the gaskets in two sizes, a thick and a thin one. I can't remember just what mine took but the whole task was pretty easy.

More complicated. It is shimmed with gaskets, but they are available at truck supply outlets. Put it in place, bolt it down and check for gear binding. Remove, repeat as needed.

There was a lot of sawzall work needed. I had to reduce the height of the M1009 pedistals and cut the excess height off the CV seats. They are comfy though.

I tried to do mine on the frame but it would not spin. It was not too bad to remove entirely.

I kept the seat mount and put Crown Vic buckets in the front only. The only limitation is they do not fold over but that is not my problem, I don't plan to ride back there anyway. Big comfort difference.

Air cooled engines make noise. Best to build a shed if possible.
