Here's my project. Body is ready to come off the frame. Need to build a cradle for the body lift. I've been distracted by a 47 cj and lack ambition. I recommend pulling out the old insulation between the body panels as it seems to be a critter and water magnet. The ones in the cab ceiling were...
Thank you Chief, donation on its way. Seems my truck has been rebuilt. New bed, Hercules d turbo with a 2-88 tag, transfer case rebuild at MEAD 12-88, new front harness, wiper upgrade and probably more that I have yet to discover.
I was picking up 5665. Joe had all ready started it so I moved it out to where I could check it over. It only needed air in the two front tires for the 50 mile ride home. Although it will probably need batteries and work on the emergency brake.
I was there on Wednesday the 15th. It looked as few as 20 trucks had been removed, and maybe not even that many. Joe did say 50 more are coming in.
Bruce good to talk to you again. Its been to long! The 47 cj is occupying the work side of the now in the way to small
30 x 36 garage. Yesterday's new arrival sits outside (won't fit inside anyway). The next garage needs to be HUGE
I picked up my truck yesterday at Selfridge from event 5394 that ended 8-6. I sent my euc in the following
Wednesday. It was returned three days later because I filled out a box wrong (it was done the same as my past two)
I fixed it and sent it back the same day. On the 24th I had my paid in...
For those of us who live in states that use salt in the winter be sure and check the steel lines also. I just had one
let loose. Glad it was in the driveway. With as many trucks coming out of service you would think somebody would
start making pre-bent lines
Is there an upgrade to install a parking brake light switch in the M35A2? I noticed that some of the vendors are carrying what they call a parking brake switch, part# 2540-01-259-0283. I'm assuming that its a warning light that the emergency brake is on. Anybody have this on their truck? For...
I found a washer/spacer from McMaster-Carr and turned it down in a lathe to about .080. I don't know if I'd worry about only a 15 degree difference. Mine was so hot you could'nt hold your hand on it. My truck had a leaking seal when I got it. I repacked the bearings put new seals in and the...
What I started with and after 2 years of taking in down to the last nut and bolt. There's a working RT524 and antenna mount thats in the bed. Bill W is to blame.
I just finished sandblasting my money pit frame today and it has it first primer coat. After replacing the rear cross member, cross brace, rear shock hangers, rear spring hangers and repairing the frame. The only thing good about doing a jeep is that it takes up a lot less room. The m43 project...
