I have a single spare black out shade. It is not in the greatest shape but is available. What I do need is replacements for the brass tabs that help keep them in place.
Clinto,
Thanks for the research on this. I would expect that the issue we will face with any of the new vehicles is that they do not meet the Safety standards at the time of manufacture. Since none of them have the airbags and other things that the civilian market must have it is a reason that...
When I replaced mine I found that it was much easier to get at it from the cab. Had to remove a few screws to take the front piece of metal out over the transmission but it made replacement a snap.
The job looks great on that 1009. Can you post some pictures once it is completely set and put back together. The ability to get it into a normal booth is a nice advantage to the CUCV versus my Shop Van.
I will gladly "store" it for you here in Florida. Keep it happy and secure inside a nice warehouse and make sure that it does not get lonely. I understand on the difference it makes as I see that between the M35 with the tarp off and the 109 with the box.
There is a more or less complete body of one of these at a shop between Pahokee and Canal Point out in Western Palm Beach County. The shop owner buys deuces and five tons and sells them to farmers. Not sure what all he has that goes with the truck but can get you contact information if you are...
More cooks and more cooking equipment! I would love to get a chance to work on an MKT. That will make it even tougher to not buy one. I keep resisting buying as they are always on the other side of the country.
I could go for a set of those templates. Do you have them for the hard top? I have a whole load of the sleeping pads that are going for exactly this purpose and it will save me having to make the templates myself. I am thinking two layers of the pads glued together. They are also getting...
I sent Mike a proposal for the weekend menu just now. If anyone has specific ideas for what they would like to have or not have let me know and we can try to please as many as possible. I can speak for myself only, but we will need to have some folks willing to help with the cooking, clean up...
Outstanding, I just scheduled the week of the rally for vacation so I can come in early and help. I can bring one of my 105s to load up with wood and a command post tent. Now for all of the things to do for getting ready.
I have pulled the 105, 103 and the 353 behind my deuces. I think that they have a better ride with the trailer. I find the 353 to pull the best of all my trailers.
Clinto,
I am coming up and pulling a 105 that should have plenty of room if you need anything brought from this way. Planning on staying in either the 109 if it is ready (the build just keeps expanding) for the trip or trying out my new command post tent. I plan to bring the key parts of the...
You need both, if you can find an ammo trailer with the cover I would grab that first. It seems that the covers for the 332 are almost as rare as a cover for a generator trailer.
I just got off of the phone with the GL rep at Eglin. Apparently all but two of these tents are brand new and all of them are still in the wood crates. The crates weight about 400 lbs and are approximately 2 1/2' X 2 1/2' X 5'. They do load outs Monday to Thursday from 7 am to 2 pm CST.
I have to go and pick up two of these tents as well and bring them back to Tampa. Anyone know how large and heavy these tents are as that will determine recovery vehicle / time / fuel for pick up? I am coming to the Georgia rally and could bring some there in my 105 trailer. Of course, if any...
