My shift knob is always coming unscrewed while I am driving. I have to constantly keep tightening it so that I don't end up putting the knob in second, but leave the stick in first!

Those wheels will fit an M35, no problem. They are also 1 inch wider, that makes them 8.5 inches wide, which might open up some tire options for some folks.

wyattearp-
Table 1-2 in TM 9-2320-361-20 says:
4.25 qts in the tranny, no PTO
5.25 qts in the tranny, with PTO
7 qts in the transfercase (with or without PTO)
1 qt in the clutch end of the front winch
1.5 qt in the the worm gear end of the front winch
6 qts in any differential
And all kinds...
Naw... She's thinking about a boat that she can get underway by herself... not one that can provide enough power for 9,000 homes.
Besides, she wouldn't be able to call me sir without laughing.
Mine has no legal basis for camplaint (yet) but she's fine with the truck. She even offered to drive it into work one day so I could have the car!!!! And, she let me buy the M135, too!!
However, she does keep bringing up something about me owing her a boat... don't know what she's getting at...
Crazy_matt-
Not sure on the PTO... I think it still has it, even though the winch is long gone. It has a hard top, but it is not the mil-spec one. Its kinda hard to tell what's original and what's fabbed, but there are several tack welds in places there shouldn't be.

I just picked up an M135 for its wheels, and don't need the rest. Check out the pics of it here: http://steelsoldiers.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=4975
Let me know if you need anything!!

So... found an old M135 in the bushes, and decided to use its: wheels, lugnuts and rearview mirror for converting my M35A2 into an M34A2.
Paid the guy, and the rest is pictoral history... enjoy!
PS.... Anyone who needs anything from this truck, it ran well enough to be driven on and off the...
Hahahaha... almost there...
M35 = gasser
M35a1 = lds-427 multifuel (turbo, but kind of rare)
M35a2 = ld-465 multifuel (some are turbos, some are not - turbo has j-pipe, N/A has muffler)
M35a3 = cat diesel
In answer to your question, he has the LDS 427 turbo multifuel engine.

Hehehe... no worries Lax. I didn't mean to chastize (well, maybe a little bit), but I did want to point out that with now 86 pages of threads in deuce, there is a lot of information that's already been discussed. So, nothing wrong with adding to an old thread, either, if you have a good idea...
RDD- You're right about the N/A multis, but it also seems a large portion of those N/A were converted to tubros later. I only mention the difference because just saying its an A2 doesn't uniquely describe the powerplant.
Also, I forgot that the A3 has a roll bar attached to the frame that...
Lax-
That's a great idea, but you're not so smart as to be the only one who has ever thought about it. The problem lies in the cost and availability of A3 wheels. None to be had surplus yet, and the company that makes them for the government quoted one member an exorbitant price for selling to...
