    No Deuce in-my FUTURE

Did you turn the seat down to the lowest level? That gives you a few inches. Also some guys have shortened the steering column. Big plus. Anyway, best to you, hope you can join us very broke folks. :driver:

    On the Fence

The A3 comes with air assist steering. What is scaring you about the auto? They are in thousands of school busses and other applications. Also the two speed transfer case puts a lot of slow power at your disposal. Upgrade a non-power steering to air assist for about $1000. Hydro power can...

I think they have surge brakes, not air. Trailer, cargo: 1{1/2} ton, 2-wheel, M105 series (United States) - Jane's Military Vehicles and Logistics

    Global Warming and Deuce Air

I have been thinking of this. I think if I go through with it I will buy a RigMaster APU. It does AC, heat, generator (could power house in an emergency) and charges the batteries. I think used they are under $2500. Yup, just checked a popular auction site and there is one listed. I bet...

    North Carolina Title Issues

I just thought of something funny- if they had to fill out that form for a M35A3! Built from 2 or 3 residue trucks- it would probably end up with a salvage title.

    North Carolina Title Issues

Sorry to hear of the problem. Hopefully you can work it out. I went and got the form, out of curiousity and looked it over. http://www.ncdot.org/download/dmv/VR_MVR181.pdf What strikes me is that GL would have no way of knowing the answers to the questions. That may be why they are not...

why do some m35a3s have yellow cats and some green

The yellow engines meet all specs, the green ones are rejects. Actually, a Cat employee on here one time said Cat only makes yellow engines. Every once in a while the gov would make them paint the engines green. They had to send them out to do it, at a high cost to Cat.

Is this in our future at GL?

Mutilation is whatever the person representing the government says. Could be total destruction one day, less another.

    M35A3 super shimmy!

I bet the wheels are not the issue. I think the "O" rings in the wheels are only rated at 60 psi or so. Should not be an issue if you do not use CTIS as the wheel valve will isolate the "O" rings.

It probably would be cheaper to haul. You will be at $500 in fuel alone. Take the cargo cover off if it has one, also note the insulated cab cover can be troublesome. I got a knife out at a rest stop and removed the liner. Little pieces of the insulation kept getting in my eyes.

New rule at GL for trailers!!!

Just went over and checked up coming auctions, M105s still require EUC but 101s don't seem to.

Welcome! I just got back from a 500 mile trip in my A3 yesterday (picked up a 105 trailer). Ran great of course. I would suggest http://www.m35a3.net/forum/ as a place to do some additional research on these toys. Also check Erik's Erik's Military and Industrial Surplus - Military Vehicle...
