Transport Two Deuce Engines from Columbus OH to Western MI?

RE: Re: RE: Transport Two Deuce Engines from Columbus OH to Brian wasn't able to help me out, so I'm still looking for transportation for my two engines from Ohio to Michigan. Anyone coming this way in the late Sept - early Oct time frame who may be able to help out?

    C turbo anyone?

Here is a pic of a "C" turbo. You can see how the "C" turbo exhaust side is much narrower and both halves are held together by a "V" clamp.

    Deuce looking

RE: Duece looking 1. Not too bad unless you send a rod through the side of the block. Most parts are readily available and reasonably priced, although electrical parts can get pricey. 2. Certainly, subject to weather conditions. How many other people do you know that have a garage with a...

Which Gauge do I need more? boost or pyro

Definitely the pyro. That being said, a pyro will run you about $135 - $150, a boost gauge is only $40 - $50. But buy the pyro first.

Transport Two Deuce Engines from Columbus OH to Western MI?

I bought a couple of LDT465 engines from GL in Columbus OH. I'm planning of taking the Deuce down there to pick them up, but don't look forward to the 800 mile round trip. Is anyone coming up this way in the late Sept - mid Oct time frame who would be interested in picking them up and bring them...

    Gear case plug wrench?

Don't get TOO happy yet. It is all not that simple. The 1/2" rachet/breaker bar works for my diffs, my t-case a fairly large open end wrench (5/8"-3/4"?) and my trans (Spicer Wolverhampton) takes a large allen wrench (1/2"+/-?). If you need to know the specific sizes I can crawl under the truck...

Update on M35A2 And brake problem

Item #6 is a tee, item #5 a tube nut and item #1 is a vent line. Perhaps someone scavanged your vent line and left a plug in its place.

Update on M35A2 And brake problem

Does this help? Or are you talking about it being between the master cylinder and the air-hydraulic unit?

    Used motor oil

True, I misspoke. What I should have said was that as the motor oil is more highly refined the paraffin doesn't settle out like it does in diesel, thus it could have the effect of lowering the cloud point of the mixture.

    Used motor oil

An interesting question. On the one hand, the WEO is going to get more visious as the temperature drops. On the other hand, it does not contain paraffin/wax, so it should also lower the cloud point of the mixture. Then it becomes a question of when the WEO/DF mixture becomes too visious for the...

    Used motor oil

IMHO, I would personally use the transfer pump to pump the oil into a "dirty oil" transfer drum, then when you get it home filter it through a high efficiency bag filter. I wouldn't want all the crude and gunk from some else's oil pan running through my fuel injection system!

    New M35A2 owner

I don't envy your trip! Ear muffs, yes! Yardstick for the fuel tank, double YES! Deuce fuel guages have been known to lie (frequently). Take off the fuel cap, pull up the strainer, rotate 1/3 turn counter clockwise, pull it out and set it down on something clean (like the plastic 3 lb coffee can...

    Used motor oil

Coffee filters are OK, but I don't know how fine they filter. I bought some bag filters from McMaster-Carr, http://www.mcmaster.com/. If you go to their home page, look under "Pumping and Filtering", then click on "Filter Cartridges and Bags". If you read through that section, there is a lot of...
