I remember that Deuce shear pins were headed at one time years ago. I also remember seeing pictures of them in a book somewhere. If you contact Memphis and ask the parts man to check with Max the owner, I think they will be able to answer your questions. Please be sure the shear pins are not...
Yeah, singles give you the easy track in snow and mud to go go go, when if you're gonna load it, singles are, no no no . JT I made that up all by myself.
I have one of these retired old workhorses too, picture attached. I am going to sell her now, we built a deuce cargo dump, a year newer and lighter empty. It can't haul the load my 5 ton can, but it's easy to get around with and cheaper to fuel. JT
This is the largest, heaviest MV I have hauled to date. With a spare 8V92 too!
Some pictures attached. JT out PS, that is snow in the pictures, we still have plenty if anyone needs some.
My A3 also has the CTIS unplugged at the control panel. No cover plate over the display though. I am hesitant to plug it back together, in case something is REAL wrong with the system. Someday, I will try it. JT out
Hey, YD, it's about time you showed those Cummins off to somebody but us other yankees!!!!!!!. The orange wrecker kinda matches my orange snow plow, eh?
Anytime you guys need the gaskets, tell Napa man to look in the book, or call the wix tech line. If you still can't get them, I have them at my place all the while. JT out
ever try inflating it with all the nuts off the bolts? Just asking, but if you use a clip on air chuck and get it outdoors and watch from behind a tree, if might work and could be a little fun to talk about on here sometime.
There is a person who has adaptors to put spin-on filters on the multifuel engines, PM me for the information. They get the oil pressure up much faster at startup, and the fuel adaptors make changing filters a lot easier in the future.
The instructions are very good, just bolt them on. the first one I did took 4 hours. all the rest were about 3 hours, start to finish. As someone else said, the hard part is mounting the air cylinder to the plate that mounts on the ubolts on the pass side. From there it is a cake walk. JT out
