I'm going to "cheat" and not retype everthing that I could say here...
I have a page on my website that discusses paint/metal work on my M37...
See:

The menu looks good from my perspective. Burgers might be a tad less expensive then cold cuts for lunch (and about as fast when you put them on the MKT's grill) given the prices at my local food service supplier...
Assuming that I can still make it (and it looks good on my end at this point...
The M101 series actually uses a specialty bracket (short stake pocket) for the bows to sit in when not being used...
I don't have a good photo of them on one of my M101's, but I do have a shot of a pair that I bolted to the side racks of a M37 since I didn't like the stock storage system on the...
The March 2010 issue of Car and Driver has a road test of the Oshkosh M-ATV... They let the guys from the magazine play with one at Aberdeen... They liked it, they have several quotes from Marines in the field who like it...
In typical C&D fashion, they got excited about the cigarette...
Just a reminder to everyone that we will be having the East Coast Convoy to the Aberdeen (MD) MV Rally again this year.
Amnon is working on updates to the ECC website, but you can go an register for the Convoy now (it's still FREE), look at some of the historical information, and see who's...
In case anyone else is looking for one of these and wants some alternative numbers from the parts cross refernce list on my website:
KD 2438
SNAP ON ANS-1905
HUSKY 15003 (W-3)
Yep, we will be running the East Coast Convoy to the rally again this year. Amnon is working on website updates as we speak (well, type...). Same basic plan as in the past. If you are heading in from a location not super close to an existing Serial route, contact me and we'll work with you...
I'll have to check the dates. If I can come, I can cook (and will bring my MKT since I am used to it...). I'll also bring something "small" to drive on the trails since my five tons are way too big (dueces are too, but their are plenty of good forest roads/state roads in the area for local...
I'll be the first to say that I don't know the answer to your question....but my first guess would be that they are not the same PTO since the transmissions are different and the drive gear for the PTO has to match the gear (tooth count/pitch and location) on the idle shaft that powers it. You...
My first aid kit was sold as "French Surplus" at Aberdeen (and a few on-line dealers also had them at the time) but it was the saem dimensionally as the one that BillW had. A couple of new stickers from Rick Larsen and you can't tell it from an original US one... I then filled it with the...
Ahhh, so that is what they are called... :)
If I can't get them from Southco (thanks for the link), I suspect that I can snag them at McMaster or Grainger (got accounts at both) now that I know what I am looking for.
Thanks!!
Not to hijack Karl's thread...but:
Anyone have a source for the latches on the air filter can for the M809 (Cummins NHC250 powered) series of trucks? I have managed to break the "hooks" off about a dozen of the things and have gotten to the point where a couple of the trucks look like the cand...
It's an oxbow on your route, but if you came down I85 to Raleigh (and back to I95 via I40), you could swing by my place... [you could also just jump off I95 on US64...]
I've got food, drink, and green vehicles to break the monotony of the trip...:)
Welcome!.
Good to see that you have already "hooked up" with a pair of local gurus...:)
Make sure that you put both the Aberdeen MV Rally (and the East Coast Convoy to it) and the Graves Mountain Labor Day MV Trailrides (in Madision County, VA just south of you) on your schedule so that you can...
The route that Adam, Mike, and I took last year (I suspect that we will take a similar one this year):
Adam came up I77 from SC into NC. He and I met up in Mt. Airy (I77/74 junction) and rode up to Beckley, WV where we met Mike.
Convoyed over on I64 to Lexington, KY, then up on I75 to...
Howdy.
Don't forget to take a bunch of photos as you go along. Not only do we like to see them, but they will be helpful to you down the road (trust me...).
If you haven't found it already, I have a website with a little info on the M37 and varients located at: www.garbee.net/~cabell
Not sure about towing that MG... But it can pick it up, slap it on the tag trailer, and haul it over...
I know that it could tow a project M37 from one side of town to the other as well... ;)
You need to stop by and take a gander at it...
The next one will be September 2-6, 2010... Just in case you want to put it on your schedule... :)
We'll have a couple of "work weekends" starting in Feb/March so that we can scout out and clear some new trails and repair some that have not been used in twenty years or so... I'll post dates...
