Just bought a GMV equipped with the Rod Hall Suspension kit. Does anyone know if that system is included in any TM for field instructions, operation and maintenance?
Looking to study and understand the system before the truck arrives.
Consolation prize if you can at least find the same for...
Has anyone had any luck getting GovPlanet to deduct the Sales Tax from the final Invoice when the Vehicle is being shipped out-of-state? I requested it and they just replaced the CA Tax with Texas Sales Tax instead. I don't want to pay the tax until I go to register it (if possible). Any advice...
Yep, my sentiments exactly. I am keeping the original ECV GMV as designed. Only grabbing a few things from the REV (rearwall, turret plug, etc) and selling the REV (hopefully running).
Yeah the REV's serpentine belt being all wrapped up leads me to hope that maybe the AC Compressor siezed up and snapped the belt. Just hoping that's all it needs to get the REV truck running. If so, I'll definitely not cannibalize it too much.
I considered this, but most I hear about the REV trucks from guys that have them is "though they are the latest & greatest, the parts are expensive and hard-to-find", whereas the ECVs are tried-and-true, with easy/inexpensive maintenance.
Hey all, good day. I purchased a REV B M1165A1 parts truck (mainly for rear wall, roof, etc) for my ECV M1165A1 (with SN 244k). I have read all the posts about the differences between the trucks (pre versus post 300k SNs etc) and realize none of the mechanical/structural enhancements can me...
Whether or not the Enhancements shown above are included in REV A or B, is it the consensus that all listed are included in the final REV vehicles? I am trying to determine which enhancements are remaining on my M1165A1 with Serial Number 243,XXX. So far, I can see that the Airlift brackets and...
Had a similar issue yesterday.... Thankfully I was watching the gauge when the truck went over 220 and fan did NOT kick on, so some coolant started boiling over and I pulled over to let it cool. Unplugging the Cadillac valve and the TDM causes the fan to engage properly to cool the engine, so...
My 6.5 got hot today because the fan did not engage over 220. The Cadillac valve verifies good (properly engages fan clutch when unplugged from harness), but the Thermostatic Switch has no effect on fan clutch, whether plugged in or unplugged. Does that confirm that the thermostatic switch is...
Anyone install the front high back seats kit in their HMMWV that can give me some pointers? Anyone do video instructions? I’m starting the process today and the instructions that came with it are no good. And I’m 6’5” so need all the legroom I can get.
Yep. It stopped 90% of the water from coming in... even in a rainstorm. There are small gaps & creases that allow water in, but would be too much of a hassle to try and seal. This was a successful "axe approach" to weatherproofing!
I've been waiting for one of those Special Forces Toolboxes to install in the bed of my HMMWV, but am thinking they're long gone. Wondering if one of these would suffice... (CARC'ed of course). What do you guys think?
