Carnac's new trailer is pretty darned nice. He got here yesterday about 6pm and we had a few hours to relax and just shoot the breeze after we loaded and unloaded everything. It was nice to hang out.
He left last night about 10 and today should be in South Atlanta. Not sure exactly when he's...
Carnac texted me yesterday @5:09 pm EST and said he was leaving again.
This morning at 4:33am EST he texted and said he was pulling off 288 miles from College Station, I assume he meant for a nap. Will update as I get more.
Trailer difficulty about 80 miles from the house. Getting the hub off and fixed in the morning and will attempt to depart once again. Schedule accordingly.
Carnac just called me to tell me that he is departing El Paso and should be at College Station (shearlegal) sometime around lunch time Friday.
After departing college station, it's on to Houston and after that, timntruck's place. Hoping Houston before rush hour. When he gets closer to...
We need pictures!
The mule was made in 6 varieties over a 12 year production span and many earlier models were rebuilt in military overhaul programs, similar to how M35A1s were rebuilt into M35A2s. The basic overview of mule history is:
The first Mechanical Mules, the M274 & M274A1, had a...
There are dual voltage alternators, originally for HMMWVs in 100A flavor and later on, in 200A and 400A varieties for MRAPs and such but the alternator pictured is the standard M-series 60A 24V unit.
I do not understand why there is 14V at that stud.
I have never seen any piece of military...

If it didn't lose fluid, my first thought would be a dead master cylinder. You can test this theory by removing the brake line output and plugging the hole. If the pedal is rock solid then the problem is further down the line. Reinstall the brake line and cap the airpack output.
It's gotta'...
I would assume that's because the core is an expensive oddball. My local shop that I've always had good luck with quoted me nearly a thousand bucks to recore a deuce radiator and they said a big chunk of that was the weirdo core.
I suspect that since the modern service world pretty much...

I also didn't mention our guest from the Czech Republic last year. :)
I doubt the minute amount of difference from where my bracket was and where yours is will make any appreciable difference.
1. I would not overfill any manual transmission. The engineers specified the correct amount of fluid for it and if it needed more, they would have specified so. I understand there may be some special instances like the aforementioned Ford, but I have never read about the T84/T90 family of...
Thanks. Feeling better now.
That is a long trip. In an MV, you might not be in a great mood when you got there.
But Those Military Guys came all the way from California last year and Gringeltaube has been with us now for several years all the way from Uraguay.
So book your plane ticket...
Went out and measured my factory M35A3 bed.
The outer mounting holes for the marker/reverse light bracket are exactly 2.25" from the very outside bed rail to the center of the bolt hole on both sides. I have to sweep away 2 years of leaves, my crazy dog, brave the epic pollen and I am a...
