Rest assured, he's got more than a pin hole casting flaw. Probably doesn't have anything to loose, I did it in mine before tearing to down. But I very much doubt it will solve anything at all.

Bet you have a cracked water jacket, mine did the same thing. And no, sealant won't fix it. Get another engine, you'll be well ahead.

Drive, no, but idle in neutral yes. Pulled the drain plug and it was a shake as well. I'm letting it drip out until I get a new cooler. Will just load it up with engine oil and drop that. Then another load of oil. Then dump that. The hopefully it'll be clear for atf.

Sounds exactly like mine did. Ran fine, just crap in the slobber tube and oil. Didn't take long for oil to get milky again as well.

It's been covered here many many times. It was AM General that strong arm'ed the DOD into changing the demil code on them so it wouldn't impact civilian sales of the "Hummer". This thread is for the discussion of the possible, or not possible auction of them. Let's keep on topic.

I had a cracked water jacket behind liner #6. My truck would run great. No problems at all. Just the slobber and mess in the oil and loosing coolant.
