Got the heat exchanger swapped out. I ran it with only the transmission hooked up first to make sure I didn't have a leak in it. 20 gallons so far. Starting to get less cloudy. This stinks. I'm just going to sit all this in the pails in the shop and let them sit till the summer. Maybe it'll...
Tigger was a great guy. For those of you whom never met him, he truly was the person that would have given you the shirt off his back in the middle of winter if you needed it. We thought highly enough to devote the GA SS rally t-shirt to his memory and even set up a memorial for him. All of...
Three threads started tonight alone.
Folks, the NSN is still listed as "Do not sell" even though the demil is code Q. Until this changes from the DLA, we're at a stand still and just listening to the words of a salesman.
One thing to note is something they have on every single listing above...
Well the SEMTT has been giving me a little bit of trouble lately. The battery equalizer bit the dust and I fragged the batteries. Got a Pyle voltage converter to just handle it that way. Got all that wired up and the batteries swapped. Well I was trying to flush out the radiator and ended up...
Doing a little thread resurrection here. But I have a K20 suburban that I had planned on putting a HMMWV tub on. But that'd be a lengthy project. I think this might be a good "in the mean time" conversion for it. Just need to source a brushguard at least.
I'd say it's fair too for that price given the mods.
I'd like to have a M37 myself. But it'd have to have a lot of mods. A slight lift. Put it on CUCV axles. HMMWV wheels and tires. NP205 t-case. NV4500 5 speed. And a 4BT. That'd be the M37 for me!
Umm, no.
This ends now. If you two have something to work out, it's to be done via PM. Any more debate like this in the forums and you'll both be getting an infraction.
I have to admit, the conversion of your truck to a "SECM" makes me want to do bad things to mine. Too bad mine's lifted.
Maybe I should ditch the CUCV/M35A2/HMMWV mutant project and just hack up my suburban into a CUCV clone.
For that to be polished like that and the bearings being gone, it's like you said, low on oil. The pinion bearings are the last things to see lube in these axles. So they ate themselves. I'd suspect the gearsets to be worn out as well since the backlash was completely outta whack from the...
I ummm, was one of the "cool kids" I guess. But it got old. FAST. I know it's boring to only have a 4" exhaust with a muffler on a turbo'ed truck. But with where the cab is, it's very pleasant in the cab on the highway. I guess I'm getting old and no longer one of the cool kids.
