    Need brake adjustment help

All the nuts came off with no problem. I can't get a wench into the space very well to get a good bite on the flats on the studs. I took a half inch wrench and bent it to fit and with a pipe on the wrench spread the jaws of the wrench. I built a wrench out of heavy flat stock with a large nut...

    Need brake adjustment help

Worked on the brakes today. All the adjusters are frozen solid. Tried heat on a couple, just heating the outside and not the bolt itself. No luck yet . Will it be detrimental to heat the bolt itself??? Another problem seems to be that the master cylinder piston is no returning to the home...

    Need brake adjustment help

I need to know how to do the major brake adjustment on my M54 dump. I have a paper copy of TM 9-2320-260-34 and it refers me to TM 9-2320-260-20. I do not have that one, but I found it on site but it will not down-load to my computer. Can someone give me a quick run-thru. I have adjusted...

Bought home a pretty rough M543A2 today...

Its worth more than you paid for scrap. Its even still got the spades, I paid $200.00 just for spades. Mine was missing both winches, which cost me more than you paid for the whole truck. Mine had no doors or top. I thought I stole mine at $2500.00.

    m151 opinion

I paid $400.00 for mine 10 years ago in much worse condition than this one. Drivers and passenger floor rusted through, rear bed has a piece of flat steel welded over it, underside rusted badly, no fuel tank, transmission apart in a bucket, not running, rotten tires, and no seat cushions. If...

    the Deuce market

RE: Re: m35 I may not have my facts straight but this is what I heard about the trucks on the same sale as the one I got my Duece from. My duece was a normal one, meaning older paint and no cover or bows. But the other 12 on the sale had new paint, new cab covers, and new cargo covers. The...

I am truly sorry for his passing. It sounds like he was a great guy in the MV hobby. My thoughts and prayers go out to his Family as they deal with this great loss.

    Deuce Forum = A Joke!

randyscycle, if you ask I will continue to answer although my experience is limited. I am also into antique tractors and have followed a tractor site for much longer than I have been on SS. The questions have been asked over and over again and were always answered by the sages on board with...

Right on David!! I have not met you personally but take great pride in telling people that I know David Doyle. And Ron, I do know you personally and am proud to consider you a friend. This can be said for a great number of long term Members of SS. We have met at Rally's, or you came to my...

    Deuce Forum = A Joke!

This is just my opinion and not worth the paper it is written on but, Personallly I miss the conversations explaining things to people with questions. I spend far less time checking the site now than I did two years ago. Why is that?? Quite a bit of the time when someone new asks a question...

    Newbie with an M813A1

Junglebiker, welcome aboard!!! They are great and very tough trucks. I second all the advice above. I use Rotella 10W40 in mine because that is what is stenciled under the hood. In my farm experience as long as you use good quility lubicants with the correct specifcation you will be fine.
