It'll be interesting to see which way things fall. I can understand why they don't want to take plastic though. That's a 3% cut on average for them. Or they might start taking plastic like many gun stores do, if you agree to forfeiting a "discount" for cash.
Actually 503 is the security software blocking it. So cyclic has either done something or his IP has been marked by stopforumspam as a spammer IP. If everyone was seeing 404,503, exc, then it'd be a site issue. The reason for the 503 error is to block some of the bad people out there. If...
The only thing I mentioned that would affect it would be shaving the pistons to lower the CR from 22:1 to about 20:1. Alternatively the same could be achieved in a custom thicker HG. Running gasoline and such might be affected. But waste oils wouldn't. The upswing would be the ability to run...
Depending on your truck and how you're coming up with that number (crank vs rear wheel), that's nothing more than bolt ons for 600hp crank power.
I had a VP44'ed 24v cummins that put down 498rwhp. Crank would be near 600. And to do that, I had studs, valve springs, injectors, turbo, exhaust...
Bumping this back up again. I have my turbo and intake installed on my "SEMTT". I'm going to start changing out the buttons after a test drive. For those of you who have already turbo'ed/button'ed a 250. What button did you end up running? What EGTs are you seeing? Also what EGT are you...
Got the gauge mounted and wired up. Gonna run to CSI tomorrow to pick up a gasket for the idler plunger cover so I can start playing with that. I did fire it up tonight with the gauge. I'm kinda baffled. I was only showing about 150-200F on EGT at idle and revving it up. Course it was cold...
So I called Gearhart just now. He's actually got a prototype in the works. His hanging point right now was with the springs. But he thinks he's found a source for them that aren't as costly. I know it's been talked about for a while in this thread. But he said he hoped to have the working...
Not a lot of progress tonight. But I did find a EGT gauge and a probe I had laying around. Problem was, the probe was missing the fittings. So some quick work with a compression fitting and a small washer to space it, I make my own adapter. I have drilled and tapped the manifold tonight as...
Wow!
What year is the engine? Because I've heard more people finding 27 and higher buttons in their 250's. Course these were M939 series trucks. I guess I'll pop mine out this week after driving it. I think I'd be safe to run a 20 button without a probe.
