m818 will not fire up when cranking over, fuel problem?

PT pump/system is self priming. No need to fill lines, install a lift pump. get a section of clear hose and run it from a clean bucket of fuel directly to the inlet of the pump. Crank it and watch the fuel suck up the line. Very shortly after it gets into the pump it will light. If no fuel is...

    M923 Cummins NTC 250 Overheating

NO, not this, two loops in the cooling system. This will recirculate the coolant to the path of least resistance, the block loop. These aren't a sb Chevy. The heater operation is a good troubleshooting step. If it is hot, w/p is doing it's job. If the engine hits 220 sitting still at idle, the...

    Blow by

You can't tell what kind of crankcase pressure an engine is making by looking at it, unless it is pushing out of the tube like an air hose. It needs to be measured with a manometer in inches of water. If you have good oil pressure, no hard start, white smoke out the tailpipe, banging...

    Detroit 6v91 smoking

^^ this and a 6v91? Maybe either a 71 or 92 series, 53 if older. Other issues are a plugged return line or a sucked shut/obstructed clean air inlet. There is also a screen between the blower and the engine. I have seen that plugged with paper and tape.

6CTA 8.3 boost gauge feed port

The only place there is coolant on the fuel pump side is at the bottom near center. IIRC, on he mechanical head there are 2 1/8 pipe and straight o-ring plugs. Any will work, for the o-ring plug, you will need to drill/tap

    what is this?

Again, I don't got alot of air system experience, but, if it has to do with braking, I assume it will be standard across the board. From the description and operation I read, it is designed to figure out when there is a failure of an air system accessory and default/route pressure to the braking...

Yes you can find one at a NAPA or a HD truck place like KW, Peterbilt, International, etc

    what is this?

It is a pressure protection valve. It makes it so if there is a failure in an air system accessory, there will still be enough air to operate the brake system. http://www.sanemechanic.com/Product-200731316276.html I know this doesn't look the same...

I THINK it is a regulator, could be wrong though, better trust another with more air system know how. In the meantime, i'll look
