Power loss or gain depending on transmission fluid?

Thinner fluid may need a slight up adjustment to match the shifts with thicker fluid. With more pressure it feels like it holds the gear slightly longer then shifts hard to the next gear. Not sure if it's actually quicker but it does give that feel. generally you want more pressure for really...

    Lmtv radio relay question

On the trucks I have seen, yes. Do you have the full height rack behind the passenger seat. That would be the digitizer and the install for that has the breaker that goes under the relay panel. It's a stupid spot for it you can't reset it unless you pull up the relay panel. It's safe to lift the...

Power loss or gain depending on transmission fluid?

There is a trans fluid pressure adjustment. Basically makes shifts harder or softer. It's on the throttle assembly it's like a kick down cable on a Chevy. Bringing the cable in closer will increase fluid pressure.

    Lmtv radio relay question

There is non fused, unprotected power at the panel at all times with batts connected. You can pull it up live I do it all the time. There are Phillips head screws along the top and bottom of the metal frame it sits in which comes up with it. 12 and 24 volt comes up and connects under the...

    Lmtv radio relay question

The ones I saw had a manual reset breaker on the floor underneath the relay panel. You would not see it by pulling the kick panel off you have to pull up the relay panel.

    Rubber Bushing Front of Cab

There are a few threads on the cab mount. That is an interesting method to do it. I had suggested a while back using a hockey puck cut to size with a hole drilled in it. I have seen this done on civi trucks for motor mounts. The mounts degrade over time. One of these days I can pull a pair off...

    LMTV air/brake problems

There is a check valve behind the passenger side bumper that is part of the brake air release. I have heard of that check valve sticking and causing brake issues.

    Headlight swapping to Civi

Painted the fronts. They fit in perfectly just take out the blackout light. If you have a winch they wont work though since the winch uses one of the openings.

    Headlight swapping to Civi

I run H4 conversions with 90/100 watt offroad bulbs. Works great at night. The original 55 watt road lights just aren't enough to see where you are going. I have sets of small 35 watt all metal hid lights with thick glass lens that fit in the bumper cutouts I am gong to be installing them in my...

    cab air springs

The parts tm will show a breakdown and you can look in the repair tm for air springs not working and it should give you a good idea of what lines to look at.

    cab air springs

I wouldnt just go pull the control box. Peek behind it with a mirror and use the parts TM to figure out where each air line goes. Then do a bit of tracing and if it is just swapped lines you should be able to correct them in place.

    cab air springs

With the parking brake off the truck cuts air to the hydraulic control box, as a safety so you cant raise the cab unless the truck is in park. There should be a separate air feed to the control for the cab air shocks. Maybe someone switched the two air lines to the box.

    cab air springs

If they drop when you release the brakes that could indicate a loss of air somewhere. Do they come right back up?

Yup Allison speed sensor on the right side held on by one bolt and a metal clip bracket. There are alot of different part numbers for it. I can look for the number. The wtec2 ecu is behind the keypad they are mated and come out as one. If you start messing with it be careful the back connectors...
