May need some assistance in PA

The guy I got parts from is in Hazelton which is not far at all from where he is...not sure how to get the 2 together. He had a complete rear axle still together...wouldn't take much to get the parts off it. Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk

May need some assistance in PA

Ok I was just up that way last sunday snagging parts off a 1009 that had the rear axle on it still. Not sure how he'd get to him to get the parts though but I'd bet the guy would be pretty cheap. That is a 2 1/2 hour drive from where I am.

    6.2 rebuild help

Can you read anything on the old bearings if there's anything left on them? Sometimes they have some mark on them. IDK I think I'd try another standard set. There's several online military surplus guys that list them for sale pretty cheap. 01-152-4239 I think is the NSN for the set but I'd...

    6.2 rebuild help

I gotta ask an extremely basic question...are you sure you are getting parts for a 6.2 and not something else? Possibly boxed wrong parts or looked up wrong, shipped wrong? There's really only one size since they are all so close in standard size.

Fuses? We Don't Need no Stinking Fuses!

That looks like a 30 amp fuse not a 25 so might be out of spec some, like infinity out of spec. My grandmother used to stick pennies under the turn in style fuses at her house when she had a party just so all the lights would stay on all night...I never understood what or why she'd do that...

What do I have, plus converting to 120v. New guy here.

I hit the dewey site and screen shot the specs on this to help find a good inverter plus engine speed specs for load.

    MEP-802/3 Radiators

This is not wrong at all!! The one rad shop we have in town used to rebuild every ounce of a radiator. I had my 1008 huge brass truck rad that I took to them thinking they'd pull the caps and rod it out and make it new again. I was wrong!! all they do is hit it with a pressure washer down the...

What do I have, plus converting to 120v. New guy here.

The batteries they are referring to are only to start it and people wire it into the slave cable socket. Since they are not designed to charge external batteries through the slave cable and only operate the starter, batteries are not needed but for starting only. If you open the side box you...

Wiper blades? My arms are flat, no hook like convention arms

That sounds like a great choice, being up north could use those. What mount do they have on them?

What do I have, plus converting to 120v. New guy here.

I've got it's brother the 531 which is 120...I'd bet you could hook up a 24 volt to 120 volt inverter that would work fine. They run loud as heck and use just a little fuel and are easy to start especially if you have a vehicle with a jump cable. If not they have the pressure relief valve...

    MEP-802/3 Radiators

That's the plan...there's several been running through sale the last few weeks missing the gen head but the engine and the rest still there...from what I've found the engine and some other stuff is the same as the 803 which I have. Thing is they're still bringing 1500 or more...they start at 5...

    MEP-802/3 Radiators

I hear that completely, why I got several tanks of red die at the house. I don't think I could ever get all the parts needed to make me feel comfortable with the future so I am betting on being able to fix what I got with what I got...still trying to get one of those 813s for sale tomorrow for...

    MEP-802/3 Radiators

Having a pop in that when you need it would be really bad. I do keep some pellets at the house for crazy emergencies like that. I have learned to melt them first and not just dump them in as they will clog the heck out of the rad bad. They work very good if you don't use to much of them. I...

Restoration and repair literature for Chevrolet K5 Blazer (M1009)

I'd hit an online deal before getting a book...unless that is what you want. There are plenty of free online downloads of the wiring for it. http://forum.73-87chevytrucks.com/smforum/index.php?topic=30115.0 can try this forum...scroll down some and it shows wiring for the 84.

Wiper blades? My arms are flat, no hook like convention arms

The basic trico exact fit at 16 inch will work fine for a while. I think those fat mount rain x brand ones might last longer with their type of thick mount but not sure. There's a bunch of options really I just liked the stock metal cage look. The trico flex beam says it will fit too. It has...

    Small bridging project M1009

The voltmeter is meant for 24 volt so it may not work if you don't have 24 volt anymore. You can pop a regular 12 volt gage in there though if you would like to see volts. It should be pretty easy to install plus there is a bulb wired for the stock one so you can see the new one with the...

Wiper blades? My arms are flat, no hook like convention arms

I don't like the plastic attachment parts they use for the straight arms that are on these since they can bend very easy. Years ago when you got blades the adapter for the bend came with them but I don't think they do anymore so you're stuck with just then end for support. I got blades not...
