Plenty of info in past threads with tons of pics. Here and also in the CUCV modification thread. A little effort on your part in searching will yield the results you want. That mod has been done plenty of times with great success.

It might be a case of stuck rings and needs to be ran with a 80%+ load for several hours to come back around. A little seafoam in the engine oil right before an oil change works wonders too. Really cleans things up internally. Might help your generator, might not, but can’t hurt. (Don’t run...
