Already have the fuse mod parts and all the filters ready to order
Absolutely will be doing everything that you guys recommend.
You know these machines…..I don’t.
At least nothing is sending up a flare for you guys in the pictures.
Yea
I think I pulled the trigger a bit early on creating this thread.
The pictures on GSA always lack detail.
Its location is over a 6 hour drive each way for me. A bit much for running up to inspect it.
I am hopeful, but obviously have concerns. I don’t know these machines like most of you...
Ok
That’s funny
You would not have won it at $1001, as I had a max of $1201
Yes
It’s for me and I too hope it runs and makes power.
I love my MEP-002A but I’ve always wanted one of these but prices were always too high and my unfamiliarity with them was also a factor.
I do know about the mods...
Won a 2003 MEP-803A from GSA a few days ago.
3618.0 hours.
Listing says “repairs needed. No specifics.
I paid $962 and pick it up Monday.
Could be a total parts machine but I hope not.
Did it sell cheap due to high number of hours?
I’m a firm believer in the saying “you get what you pay for”...

Well it’s done
Looks different anyway
It was a quick paint, definitely not restoration quality.
Swapping black wheels from another trailer tomorrow.
Green wheels on tan trailer……..yuk.
Will also make 1” stencils and get that done.
(Perks of having a stencil machine)
(EDIT: Went ahead and...
Pressure washed this M101A2 today.
She gets new tan paint tomorrow or the next day
Yes it’s hideous now but will hopefully look good when I’m finished.
The wheels stay green for now.
Im not dismounting them again to just to repaint the rims.
Love these trailers.
I have 3 of them.
I know
I...
It all gets worse as we age.
I am close to 63 now.
Now sometimes I walk into the shop to get something and I just stand there inside the door trying to figure out what I’m getting.
More times than I care to admit, I just turn around and leave and still haven’t a clue what I was looking for...
Every single human being has and will continue to make mistakes.
That’s just our nature.
Learning from them and try not to make the same
Mistake again is the key.
It’s the unforgiving mistakes that you lose your life over or worse, someone else’s life.
That was my biggest fear flying...
Sorry for your loss.
You are correct about the roll-bar.
They came with them from the factory but examples are nonexistent around here.
The little ford tractors are few and far between now.
I never mow with it (it came with a 60” mower deck and also a backhoe attachment) and stay away from...
Moved M101A2 trailers around today. Used the little Ford 1210 Diesel.
Kept them in the sun today in between the storms to burn out the spiders.
Then parked them back in the shade.
Keeping them under trees keeps the sun from destroying the tarps, but then you get the spiders and sometimes...
Plenty of info in past threads with tons of pics.
Here and also in the CUCV modification thread.
A little effort on your part in searching will yield the results you want.
That mod has been done plenty of times with great success.
It might be a case of stuck rings and needs to be ran with a 80%+ load for several hours to come back around.
A little seafoam in the engine oil right before an oil change works wonders too. Really cleans things up internally.
Might help your generator, might not, but can’t hurt.
(Don’t run...
