I just put a set of convoy lights on my M936 and it was not to bad of a install. But the two nuts for the u-bolt on the lower right side are a B((*&^^.
The battery box is in the way and the foam does not help.
You did jump into the deep end!!
But it is all fun if you plan your pickup and just think about safety.
I did about the same think you did when I got my first MV.
Have a safe and fun recovery!!!!
The deuce I am redoing does not have a start relay on it. The new harness I got is for it will need a relay also.
I have not gotten to the point to try starting it, still just a painted frame.
Let us know how it goes.
I looked at the schematic and it looks like you need to add a #4 size wire...
I think it is a good idea to be able to disengage the front axle when in low range. I do not use low range much in the M939's, but I do not put it in reverse when I do.
It was round when new. That looks like a rim with the 10 3/4" bolts.
The other older 5 ton wheels do not have a grove for the o-ring and they are a
bear to get to seal. The one you are showing is the better wheel for working on for sure.
Here is the p/n 12363606
Erick's has them. Sometime...
What I have found on the O-rings is. The 5/8" 10 bolt older wheels take a 8mm o-ring and the newer 3/4" 10 bolt wheels take the 5mm o-ring that when you pull it off it looks triangular. The newer 3/4" wheel that uses the 5mm o-ring is the same o-ring used on the M35A3 wheels.
Yes the larger one has the spring brakes and a service side. The smaller one just has the service side.
If you load the P2P Softwhare here on SS it will help you understand how the system works.
