First image is of an A1R NATO box. In later trucks the manual battery disconnect, disconnect relay, and NATO port are enclosed here.
Second image is a later model (A1 or A1R) is the 9-Pin J1939 port for the Cat and Alison magic boxes to talk to the gods of the motorpool.
I don't think I have my old SCORE rule book on shoulder harness mount angles, but that certainly looks within the proper range.
From an engineering standpoint, a front impact is going to do it's best to pull the bar forward. I would add one additional brace on the side that runs perfectly...

My point is that it's not really that simple. I mean you are not just slapping on the winch and plugging in the wires. You have to a) find one and assuming the seller is including "everything", b) you have all the hoses, fittings to run and mount, c) PTO, d)...
The thing to remember is that a winch rated the same weight at your truck is *still* going to need a snatch block system.
Reason: the added resistance of being stuck will often exceed the capability of the winch
So forget the SWR trucks, IMO. Far too over-priced for a winch not even rated to...

Ah cool. I was unaware that the trailers used a different bushing.
The ones on my '08 truck are still solid but the ones on my M1082 started to break down as soon as I went to recover it.
