I was told that they use the same bracket, but having owned a '98 w/3116 that had AC (driver-side mounting bracket) and now own a '08 w/C7 I do not see how the bracket from my old truck would work. I was even going to pull it to fab a replica.
I seem to recall Scott Dewitt who sellsthe...
The idea has been kicked around. As you said the cab lift system, the air-ride system, the cab leveling system, and the cab latching system all need to be addressed. I'm not aware of anyone that actually done it though. Like a lot of major mods, you'll have to re-engineer a good deal...
No mud issues with mine so far.
They are hard to find these days (or not worth the price asked for the few out there).
I debated making some replicas out of fiberglass, but decided against it since they would just be cosmetic.
I did share my solution for standoffs with a FB user who was...
I'm trying to hook up a speaker system to play the purge siren.
I will sit out side the grocery stores and kick it on just before the doors open.

So according to the schematics that I can find online, the Y-j1939 pins out with the center pin as 12v PWR.
According to my reader and multimeter I have no power. I find nothing in the power panel that indicates it is related. All breakers are good and hot.
If there a separate fuse...
Might be a tad small for the LMVT cab, but not sure. I'm thinking more along the lines of 33000 BTU cooling, but that number was tossed out by someone a couple years ago. I've no idea what the Red Dot Gen2 units produced for these cabs had in the way of BTUs (the Gen1's were somewhat...
I've found even working CTIS controllers can be temperamental.
As a rule I step down from Highway > XC, then XC > Sand, etc.
Same with airing back up (ie: Sand > XC then Highway).

^This is what I've always read.
Don't cap the front or it can't vent (and thus lock up the brakes). There is a way to do it, but it involves dome tinkering and re-routing.
