The Amish near Napanee Indiana buy cheap foreign made new refrigerators and take out almost all the refrigeration components and put in an ammonia absorption system for use with propane. They do like 20 at a time. It's a (small) full size refrigerator that they make. I believe they last a...
Cleaning off the sides of the frame. I had a big rust pocket under the left trunnion reinforcement plate that cleaned up with some grinding. Next off the tank and trunnion.
Removed the bumperette and making a new, lower, rear bumper from 2 x 6 x 3/8". It will bolt on the frame and weld to the reinforcement plate at the back that you can see in the photo. Will make the bumper assembly and set it aside so axles can come out, not have a rear bumper in the way.
edit...
I have a few spots, like the frame mount of the axle equalizer to weld. The tubes sticking out the back go clear to the front of the bed and 8" further for a front telescoping cylinder mount A to connect. Hinges at the rear mount to that subframe and the trailer frame. I'm going to have to...
Got the bed down on the frame but it's not complete, the hinge and tube frame that welds to the bed rails are next. Even without the dump, it's usable around the farm now...with some more welding should be solid.
I have a 35" tire (front set) and a 37.5" so it uses the equalizer. I need a...
Remove the front drive-shaft. They are just enough different that it could cause some serious damage if the front is engaged. I'm going to 4x4, partially because of this cost (and I like the looks/performance).
It would make a good truck for roll off's or a super camper build.
I like the 931 in 4x4, keeping full length frame and putting the axle to the rear. I'm doing something similar with my deuce.

Welcome....we like pictures.
Why go to aluminum bed on a 5-ton? Are you trying to stay under the CDL 26k requirement?
Pictures of the deuce front spring and the m105. They are the same width and leaf thickness. The 105 has same number of leafs plus the overloads.
I want the extra width on the frame mount to axle of the 105 too.
If I were into extreme twisting, it may indeed transfer enough stress to crack...
Sorry, no build thread. It's spaced over so long a period that I'm embarrassed. I posted a few about using the M105 tongue.
I did start a thread about reinforcing the A3 frame for the new suspension and the ROPS.
I've been posting pieces as the frame comes together and I make progress on the M35A3 4x4 project, which just freed up the bed. Yes, I'm making it a dump. I put 2.5 x 5 tube rails under it and am starting a hinge with some heavy materials.
I have a 24vdc hydraulic pump but have a lawn mower...
Adding frame reinforcement that will be 3" below the existing plate for using m105 spring and mount. It's 10' so will go to just behind the cab and tie into ROPS/top/winch mount frame. New piece laps to top of frame and is 11x3x1/4"x10'.
I had to google it to jog the memory on a "farm jack"....oh, yea, good for lifting it off. I imagine in a pinch, one could lift to change a tire with it.
I had changing that tire in mind, but airing it up may be enough. Take a tank of air to get it to where more pressure can be added. If...
It would be nice to have a spare, a hydraulic jack and lug wrench for the recovery. Pulling it with a flat would not be fun. Someone near you might loan (or sell cheap) a 9.00/20 deuce tire & wheel.
With a jack stand, you have the means of taking it off too. Note of caution when taking it...
