Yep, confirmed, they are the 425. Thanks. I had in my head 445....wishful thinking I guess.
I'm heading to the bus sales to see what, if anything, they have for the trailer.
If I could get it switched over to duals, I would have the 445/65R22.5 Michelin XZL from my M322. It's out of my price range at this time plus my wheels are hub pilot.
How far back is the center of the wheel well on an M105? My drawing shows 110" length inside the bed and the axle appears to be about 6" closer to the rear than the front....so roughly 58-60" from the front of the trailer.
What is the axle center line from the front of the bed on the 1028...
Using one option Wes suggested, with dual 12R20 and 395 in the front, sounds sweet....except for the front brake drum and 20" wheels. I can think of several trucks that combo would be nice on, starting with my 929 and maybe the M35A3 4x4.
A side question about 12R20.....what rim would one use...
I built the cover for my 929 and have yet to put it on. Just having an open trailer (or truck) is handy. I see you have a few 101's, why take the top off?
Composted granite....that must take some time? A local quarry used to crush it. I love it for my driveway.
My A3 has 14.5 but they are pricey. Check out 395's.
I guess technically I can't join this group as I'm not cutting the frame shorter (a true "bob"). Instead, the space between the cab gets a roll over frame, spare tire holder and a winch, where the cable can go forward or rear to an A arm...
"Not when it comes to a lap dance."
You have never lived until a 6' x 250# guy (not me) gives you a lap dance. Be careful what you wish for!
Thanks for the soft top support rods!
Are these the wheels? Henderson 10 x 20 with hub pilot, steel (flange at bolt is 1/2" thick)?
Edit...sorry....was thinking your truck was hub pilot and larger studs.
A 12' long deuce bed in place of a pickup truck bed??? Hmmmm. I'm having a hard time thinking the 9'+" long M105 is not too much for an M1028 pickup. I like the duals and the 105 bed, but not sure the WW opening is at the right spot on the 1028. Or were you thinking a cut down version of a...
If it's not a dually, I wouldn't use the 105. Why not use the 101 which is (I think) 10" shorter and 10 inches narrower? I think the 105 will be too big.
SD, I don't think the orange wires are connected together the way the diagram appears. It doesn't make sense that he connected a ground and then connected two more wires (for the pump), but a 12 gauge wire seems very unlikely to burn a terminal off without melting the 12 gauge wire first. And...
There is nothing wrong with most of the electric diagram except that line that T's with the jumper that is not labeled. What does it go to? Coming off there is used only to pull off 12 vdc, but can give a direct short if hooked wrong. To take a terminal off, it was a large wire, not the small...
I was dreaming of a mid engine truck not long ago. I have an F550 bus that has a really wide rear end and low suspension...maybe use the LMTV bed I have but work in an engine cover at the front. Would go for Allison 6 speed with it. That would allow a cab in front to be really lowered. I'm...
