Put bar between the dampener bolts (I have the dampener off, so was easy to get to, the tm calls for a bar in the inspection hole to dead man the motor (right rear of the motor, hard to get to because of the muffler)
I dead manned the crank snout, then used 3/4 drive and a cheater, don't tighten with a air wrench, there is a required TOUQUE (90-110 ft-lb)
Before trying to undo the nut, place a 3 or 4 lb hammer against a flat of the nut, strike the opposite flat with another 3/4 lb hammer, work your way...
thay were NOT turn signals, the rear had the left as a red brake light/running light on top, blackout on the bottom, the the right had blackout upper for brake/running, with blackout on the bottom.
On me old m52, I changed the lower blackout lens to red and moded the houseing for a bigger bulb...

BOB, the 9.5 RIGHT arm is ONLY used on the 809 series, the 54 series DID NOT have a RIGHT steering arm, same front axle only different steering actuation

on WEDGE brakes, the cage bolt and some also a nut is under the dust cap, it takes a 9/16 deep well, the nut type turns one way to cage, the bolt type turns the other way
use a m54 (early 5t) steering, it does NOT have the RIGHT steering arm or hydraulic cylinder , the 809 5t series has different steering with a hydraulic cylinder.
By the way, Im looking for a 5t front spring perch and a RIGHT steering arm
