If still having the problem, try jacking up the rear, using 2 jacks, place one under each spring pivot at the frame mount, jack till the load is off the springs, see if the pivot will move side to side, if so, pull the pivot cover, remove the outer lock nut, tighten the inner nut to 75 lb, then...

The problem with this setup is the thimbles on the inside of the rims is that it spaces the rim FROM the hub, allowing it to flex and then crack, the rim NEEDS to be TIGHT against the hub, I you use the thimble alone with out a inner rim the outer edge needs to be turned down so the the rim fits...

Yes with loose clutch cover bolts everything will flex and totaly release may be problem, though I would think clutch slip may be a problem also

If you did tighten the square washer where it was NOT down in the recess, you BENT it and will not seal if put in the recess and tightened, you have to remove it and FLATEN it so it will seal when reinstalled, ask Tim, he has FIRST hand knowledge with this tid-bit of MV info.
