Sold my M923A2 and m998A1 yesterday.
Wasn't trying at all and didn't really want to.
But.....it was a REALLY! great offer and hard cash talks.
Watching them drive off was bittersweet.
Completely fine with it this morning.
Now if I can get rid of my M989A1 trailer..........
Famous last words.
A lot of guys dump with theirs. Most haven't had issues yet.
Quite a few have screwed up brake lines and tail lights.
Too many have busted the unobtainable casting already mentioned.
At least you do know it's not designed/intended for dumping.
I think the M101A2-3 is...
They are out there.
When I bought mine, it was a new production military issue one.
Bought several actually.
The ones on eBay are stupid prices now. When they show up that is.
Some vendors also price gouge
I like National seals also.
Always have had excellent results with them.
I'm not doubting that at all.

New gaskets and improved bolts already acquired.
To me, it makes no sense not to pull engine and rebuild.
That...
It is very easy.
I have read on SS that there is a difference between military spec seals and civilian seals.
The military one seems to do the job and the civilian one leaks right away.
I used the military one and it was fine.
No experience with the other
You'll be fine dumping with it, until you break that casting.
Then you will have to buy another trailer or find someone who is parting out one as the part is not available.
The equipment transport TM shows the trailers pivot for loading space only.
They can load more on a train car.
They...
I personally would pull engine and rebuild.
That way you know EXACTLY what you have and what work has gone into it.
Plus it will save a lot of money going that route and you can decide what brand of parts to use.
I know the old school machine shop guys could repair cracks in heads (to a...
Clearly I don't know the 5 ton electrical system like I want.
Helicopters I fly, I know the electrical (and all other systems) in exact detail forward and backward from memory.
Theory, how it works, troubleshooting and how everything works together.
I was trying to help and all I did was...
