Not surprisingly the engine still runs now that it's in the crash truck! It's fun to drive around the yard.:driver:

The box structure is for storing an aluminum ladder. It definitely gives the truck a unique look. We started today by removing the winch, which we should have done before pulling the engine. Then another m37 owner showed up for some body parts from the engine donor truck. Since the fenders...

...and the engine is out.

It's definitely not perfect, but I'm quite happy with how it's turning out.:-)

We put the grille on today and added the oilboard stencils. The paintmask stars and hood numbers will wait a little longer.

The rear legs, grille/stone shield, and engine side panels are all painted. The truck is under cover now due to conflicting weather forecasts.

Now that you mentioned it, I can't remember if I cleaned out the map compartment or not.:shock: What's in the yard for m37 stuff is nothing compared to what used to be here. Folks who have been into MVs for awhile may have bought parts out of this place or from dealers that bought them here...

The buffalo is nice to have at the barn since there's no water there. At some point it will be painted OD to match the m756a2. I decided to paint the part of the bed and gin poles you only see when the poles are deployed, tomorrow we'll winch them back over the cab and spray some more.

Yes that's my m416 trailer. Here's a picture of the right angle bracket for a deuce.

There is a bracket used to mount it to the transmission tunnel for 2.5 ton trucks, I've got the diagram around here somewhere.

It will be straight semi-gloss OD, with white stars and markings.

Hopefully we'll be spraying some paint tomorrow!:-D

I picked up another m1028 today. This one is a real complete truck but it looks like the frame may be close to shot. I didn't have much time to look at it since I had to drop it at the yard and get back on the road.

Looks like a Chevrolet G506 1.5 ton truck to me.

The R2 will not be attending this year, it will be getting a lot of work done to it before it attends any shows.
