    The VTCS m756a2 Pipeline Truck

We've thought about it but painting it will give it the look we want. It smokes a little under load... It hasn't ran for years other than since we got it home, and who knows how long since it's been run hard. Hopefully it will clear up with some clean diesel run through it and some drive...

    The VTCS m756a2 Pipeline Truck

The boards vary from 1.5x3.5 to somewhere around 1.5x8. The truck will lead an easy life, but it will see some use here and there. In the next week or so we're hoping to get all the essentials done to get it road worthy, including new brake lines, engine hoses, filters and fluids changed...

    The VTCS m756a2 Pipeline Truck

It will be wood held down with metal strips, which is original for the pipeline trucks. We've got all the wood set to go, it just needs to be painted and a few boards need some cutting to fit the stake pockets and anchor points.

    The VTCS m756a2 Pipeline Truck

Drove the truck out the tent today, then added new headlights, new convoy lights, the worklights, and about half of the clearance lights. We also repaired some parts of the harness and my brother modified the wiring under the dash so the front park lights come on with the headlights. All the...

    I've joined the G749 club...

They're good looking trucks in my opinion, definitely a lot different from the m35s I'm used to.

    I've joined the G749 club...

After making a deal with an SS member I'm the owner of a couple m135s. The orange truck is very nice as far as sheet metal goes, we'll see on the mechanicals once I get it back to the shop. The other truck isn't as nice but not too bad either. I've already got enough projects to get done but...

    The VTCS m756a2 Pipeline Truck

Added the rear duals, some more stenciling, and the exhaust stack (after replacing the bottom of the rotten J-pipe).

    Dodge M880 troop seats

M880 racks: Chevy racks, sorry for the bad pictures. As you can see it's close but the m880 racks won't fit over the pockets of CUCV trucks.

    Dodge M880 troop seats

I'm fairly certain the m880 troop seats/rack will not fit a CUCV as they are shorter where they go around the stake pockets by a little bit. I can take measurements of each assembly for a definitive answer. They are very similar though.

Thanks. The door stars are 16".

Any Trailers Wrangler RT IIs will bolt direct to?

I bought it as an m116a1 without surge brakes and on the old 5 lug wheels. I put the box on an m116a3 HMMWV trailer frame then changed the axle for the narrower m116a2 axle.

Any Trailers Wrangler RT IIs will bolt direct to?

Those wheels have the same bolt pattern as m101a2 and m101a3 trailers, but I believe they'll hit the frame on your tool trailers without spacers. Here are a couple pictures of the 36" HMMWV tires on my old tool trailer. I used the wheels from an older DRASH trailer which fit about perfect. I...

    The VTCS m756a2 Pipeline Truck

Thanks! Thanks Gimpy. I think we've got everything we need for marker lights, we've just got to sandblast the housings and put them together.

    The VTCS m756a2 Pipeline Truck

Yesterday we had a chance to do some more stenciling including the hood and door stars, and the circle for the bridge weight on the door. These paint mask stencils were made by our friend Rick Larsen who was also a big help in getting this truck home to VT. Thanks Rick! We'll add the...

Mystery Com Shelter??? Trailer or CUCV?

Here is the thread I was talking about. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?116761-She-is-finally-home!&highlight= I've seen a total of 5 of these including the one you're looking at. 2 sold out of Camp Johnson here in Colchester a few years back, and it looks like the one in the thread...

Mystery Com Shelter??? Trailer or CUCV?

There is a thread by an SS member in Massachusetts from some years back with pictures of one on a truck.

Mystery Com Shelter??? Trailer or CUCV?

It's a van body for a dually CUCV, it replaces the bed. I've had two of them, and only seen a few others.

Picked up an R2 crash truck today...

Here's a few of the of the parts that will go on the truck eventually. I picked up these headlight guards with the extra hoops a few years back. I also bought a few sets of brackets I was told are for adding lollipop style lights to the front of Dodges but I'd never seen them used on trucks...

    seat cushions

Jericho picked up the box of seat backs I had towards the end of the show.

Picked up an R2 crash truck today...

The removal of the body went as well as it could have, it's now sitting on its trailer and the rest of the truck is almost all torn apart.
