A friend of mine gave me a bunch of old military paint and some of this yellow was in there. It worked pretty good for being over 25 years old.
Since 13538 is a federal color they might be able to mix it at a paint store, like a lot of SS members are doing at home depot for other military colors.
Here's a pic of the bridge plate on my brother's m37. The numbers are original, the combination plate and backing plate were painted with military gloss yellow. NSN 8010-00-852-9033 Color number 13538. A google search of 13538 shows a lot of results calling it "chrome yellow".
Today I removed the bows and racks from the bed of the m1028, then removed the bed so I can clean up the back of the frame and put in new cab corners. Only the front 2 bed bolts will need to be replaced. I also have a couple broken springs on the driver's side of the rear axle to fix.:-|
The m54 is part of the m39 series of 5 tons. m54 is a cargo, m52 is a tractor, etc. The originals were gassers, the a1 series had mack engines, the a2 series had multifuels.
According to the parts catalog 16 bolt combat wheels are used on m34s through serial number 94907.

I'd check the fuel lines. I worked on one that would prime fine, and run ok sometimes (for hours with no problems), other times it would die during warm up. The fuel line leading to the primer was cracking and was the cause of the problems.

Most are set for one height. You pull the release and it swings up 90 degrees out of the way. It may have a newer crank up leg on it (it will be made of square tube with a round foot) that operates the same but is adjustable for height if you have the handle to operate it.
