What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

I've got one cab corner welded on. I also installed stainless steel brake lines for the rear axle, and an NOS proportioning valve. Hopefully I'll have it running again in the next week.

    Identifying trailer.

That looks like an m104 to me.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

I picked up this pretty decent m1009 from the local school district today. It runs and drives good but doesn't have reverse.

Did I just buy an MV?

I've read that as well, but it's not true. My CUCV II was black from the factory, others are a teal type green. I don't think I've seen one yet that was originally white. That is a nice looking Tahoe though:).

    M116A3 covers and similar covers

The m103 generator trailers use a similar, but larger cover than the m116 trailers. I'm not 100% sure, but it is very likely that is what your cover fits.

Here are a few pics from today's recovery of SS member Fredo Corleone's 1968 m128a2c trailer, pulled by "Large Marge", an m931a2.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Today I finished welding the frame for the crane and drilled the mounting holes and bolted it to the truck frame. I put the crane on to see what it will have for reach. Tomorrow, I'll prime and paint the frame and bolt it on for good. The bed should sit right over it if I made it right.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

    Sold it.:shrugs:

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Lately I've cleaned up some of the frame and rear axle and installed new rear brake shoes, seals, and parking brake cables. I pulled the fuel tank, cleaned it up and painted it. The crane also showed up, I've almost got the frame done to attach it.

I sold an NOS rear bumper earlier this year for $200

    M116A3 Master Cylinder Help

Earlier trailers had different covers, most a3 trailers (that I've seen) have that style cover. As far as a replacement, its a standard part used in civilian applications.

    M116A3 Master Cylinder Help

I don't see any mods to that cover.:?: Looks like the standard cover on most a3 series trailers.

Pulled the trigger, Mutt is home!

Congrats! I thought it was priced very reasonable.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

I am going to build a frame for it using square tube attached to both frame rails. I'll post about it when I get it done which won't be for awhile since it's backordered for at least a couple weeks.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Yesterday I picked up some GM doors, inner and outer fenders, the radiator support and a couple other pieces. I also ordered a Vestil WTJ-4 bed crane for the m1028.

I will be attempting to fix it soon, probably using a hi-lift jack and some cutting and welding. It looks like it took a pretty good hit.

Today I went down to Massachusetts to pick up my new mangled m416 and a short body tool trailer.

4 prong trailer wiring T connector

It probably won't fit where the military plug is due to the length (it will hit the pintle support behind it). I have my 7 blade connector just to the right of the military connector.

Another what is this and what is it worth thread.

Looks like a civilian Bantam. Not really "bubbafied" at all.
