My main goal is to improve the scans we have available now. Especially for the diagrams that have been really hard to read in the PDFs.
Also I've not seen the coursework documents as PDFs before. I'm going to look through those and see if there are tips and tricks that would benefit the...
I received a huge care package from an anonymous donor. I have a LOT of good stuff to go through. The circuit drawings are readable!! They are much better than the scans we have access to now. I will post more once I've given them a look over.
There would need to be programming changes for that to be possible. In conversations with Kurt the idea was to be stand alone in an effort to prevent problems with routers that can happen when power gets flaky. It also means anyone looking to attack the system would have to be in radio range...
I just arrived home from a weekend at Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw SC for one of the race series I participate in. I took the two Acutemp units with me to server as food storage. Both units performed well. I had one set in FREEZE mode and one set of COOL. The one issue I had was with the...
To expand on that a little bit, both wiresshould be at the same electrical potential but the ground should only carry fault current (meaning something has gone very wrong).
Totally agree with ya Joe. I pushed but got nowhere. If this engine isn't a good runner I will turn it over to my CC company.
I hope this weather breaks and gives me an opportunity to at least get some photos. Right now it's not looking promising.
I can't say that I'm going to be very complimentary on the engine purchase. If this is what they call a "nice" one I would seriously consider spending your $$ elsewhere.
We've been getting heavy rain here so I put some extra plastic over it and ran back in the house. I'll take more photos...
Quick update. The used engine will be delivered Friday afternoon. Fingers crossed it's a good one.
I have not been able to put any time into separating the old engine from the alternator because the afternoon showers have kept the red clay too messy to work on. Everything sinks in and won't...
Made a little progress today. It looks like a little progress but let me tell you it was a LOT more effort than it should have been. I need to replace my portable concrete pad (aka plywood). Its finally weathered enough to not stand up to the load.
SO.. Plan B was to suspend the...
The fuel rack is a bar that runs down the inside of the engine under the fuel injector pumps. It is the linkage that connects them all together and controls the fuel delivery. The lever on the outside that controls the fuel moves the rack back and forth to control the fuel injector pumps.
Its sounding like the fuel injector pumps are sticking. I think the simplest and quickest thing to do is pull an injector pump and see if its sticking. You can disassemble them and clean them with carb cleaner.
Give this thread a look and see if it helps get you going...
Give it a look when you can. I'll drop you a note directly to work out the details. I'm going to get this thing apart this weekend so I can see if there is more than the crank bad. I will be surprised if it doesn't need a rod or two.
Well, I ordered an engine today from Adelmans. I can't say it was a smooth transaction. What they call reman on the website is not remaned. The paperwork pretty much says they are selling you something with absolutely no guarantees. Send your money and take what we give you, that's it. When I...
