Thanks for the info. This pump mounts over the power steering pump so I may be missing another bracket. I think I may just fab one unless I find a picture of a factory set up.

There is also a base plate that mounts to the carrier bench, which in turn the radio mounts attach to. Can't seem to find the picture in the file but you can see a picture of it in my thread. Must be a radio install manual available as well. It would be interesting to see if they came up with...

I did notice the led on when I had the two leads off to test the amps, as soon as I connected the leads it went out so it seems to be working fine. The problem is that it has 4 large 6v golf cart batteries on it, they have a lot of capacity so it's going to take a while for them to charge.

It's a flathead engine, I don't see how changing the head gasket would change the valve adjustment.

I would heat the outer shell of the hinge red hot and with a punch get the pin started out then finish pulling it out with a vise grip.
