    Oil Change on Reset motor

If you have under 100 hours it's best to change it with the John deer break in oil. Are you you getting a low oil pressure light?

source for upper radiator hose for MEP-803a

I would bet they already have something formed up that is close enough to work. Has anyone taken a hose to the local auto parts store to see how it matches up with anything they have hanging on the rack?

    MEP-803A wiring into the home

You'll need to go by the rating for the actual cable you buy. It will be printed on the cable or on the label on the reel.

803 Bogs Down and dies at 85% Load

That is not nearly enough information to take more than a guess. You need to see it run and hopefully shoot some video. Check all the fluids. Check the air filter. What do you see/hear/smell when it bogs down. Does it slowly bog or does it go down fast. Is this a unit you are trying to help...

    803 Gen Head output wires

Take a look at the wires. They should have numbers on them. They may be small.

    MEP-803A wiring into the home

Your calculation is correct. As already pointed out that lowering the voltage will cause more heat rise in the motor. Excess heat shortens equipment life. I doubt any of us here could say by how much. Where you can its advisable to keep the voltages more on the high side of the standard. If...

    MEP-803A wiring into the home

As wires get longer the voltage drop becomes the dominant factor in conductor sizing. If you want to use a 100' cord between the generator and the connection point you should choose your conductor size per the voltage drop table for the conductors you are considering. Under 50' ampacity is the...

    Looking for MEP-831A Schematics

Its on my list to restore those as well. I've not had time to work on it yet.

831a oil pressure switch problem solved

Have you checked the oil? If the level is good you should remove the filter screen and inspect that as well. Edit - Have you downloaded the manuals in the Technical Manuals section that is accessible at the top of the page?

    MEP 10kw 400Hz generator MEP-813A + MEP-1041

Could they be salvaging out the engines and usable bits and scrapping the rest? I've seen those engines (LPW4) sell for several thousand dollars setup for marine duty.

    I can totally see why!

    That is impressive

MEP-002a hard to crank then does not run right

It would be worth pulling it apart. If you find a stuck ring or something simple like that the fix will not be expensive. Just some time and a gasket set. Hopefully you don't have a cracked piston or scarred up cylinder.

    MEP-802A MEP-803A Filters and Parts

Does it make sense to publish all this info in a PDF and attach it to the thread containing the TMs?

    Generator Shed Plans

Horse stall mats are cheap and would work well for that.

looking at an 802A with 4000 hours

Hope you guys feel better soon. I was down for a week at the end of January. Not fun at all. This season has been a real killer. Take care of yourself.

    AcuTemp Refrigerator

I've looked though the user manual and the maintenance manual and I can't find any info on wiring the DC plug. In several places I did read (including the battery install info) where it has said things were reverse polarity protected. Glancing through the circuit diagrams I can see plenty of...
