The ambulance frame has a welded frame extension. This can be seen easily underneath. The original rear bumper mounting holes are all there. When I converted my M1010 to a PU I just cut off the extension and mounted the original bumper. Not sure how it would work with the M1010 extension...
I'm pretty sure this is where I got my last one and it is the best one I ever got.

A reman can be had for $325, and they have all the upgrades. For the amount of work involved to change one(done 5 myself)I would not take the chance on a used one. There are new anti drain back valves etc that make the new one much better. Must have been one **** of a pry session getting that...

I'm not broke down, thanks towerguy. The recent doghead wrecker incident sparked the idea. Thanks for the positive feedback on the idea, I know it will benefit SS members in the future.
How about a big flashing light on the main board when someone is broke down and needs help? Like the pm light but bigger. These cries for help can get pushed off the front page or not noticed. Let the poster be able to activate the light on a roadside help forum.
CB is in the 27MHz range, so you would have to cut it about in half, you would need a swr meter and start cutting "long" untill you get it cut to the correct length. But yes it will work.
