Does One Need an Alignment After Replacing Saggy Front Springs?

On a civilian vehicle it is recommended to get realigned any time a suspension component is changed or altered.

How many "OLD" guy's are just getting in to a LMTV ?

I'm only 52 but I have Multiple Sclerosis and it's gotten to the point I can drive the deuce for maybe 10 miles before it wears me out. Trying to get it into a parking spot at a show is almost impossible. I'm hoping the power steering, automatic, and air brakes will keep me in the hobby for a...

Manual Air Brake Release M1082 LMTV Cargo Trailer

And one your insurance company may or may not cover. Most standard auto policies have a 10k GVW maximum (unless you've had an exception written in to your contract). The trailer sitting alone is over that.

    Is this a investment ?

If you want to see what an investment they are just follow my thread. I keep investing in it and save fuel by not being able to drive it :) The way I got my wife on board was the 1st military vehicle we bought is her's. She wanted a mid-50's Power Wagon so I bought her a M37.

    Working on the M1078 LMTV

Got 3 stacks of new tires today at Hooks. Unfortunately they were mixed sets but I got 11 Goodyears and 1 Michelin. At least I have plenty of spares.

    Working on the M1078 LMTV

I can just open the opportunity to all. When do you want to come over? :) So I needed to clear the trailer to head up and get the other tires. I don't have a tractor and didn't think the engine hoist would do all that well so I just moved the trailer to edge of the driveway (away from the...

    Working on the M1078 LMTV

I appreciate all the effort and think you've gone above and beyond with it. I'm probably headed to Hooks tomorrow (if I can get a Tue appointment) to grab the tires and if you're tired of tinkering with it can try and arrange to get it moved out of your way. I think we both figured this was...

    Operation "URGENT RESTORATION"

Yep. Shouldn't that have "fragile" stamped all over it? Hopefully the UPS guy doesn't drop it on his foot.

    Neophyte LMTV

Glad to hear she started that quick. Take a good inventory of what parts you need and post it here. Good chance someone will be able to help you out.

    Working on the M1078 LMTV

That's just someone with more money than sense. I haven't been accused of having either but at least I'm limited in spending money. I'll take your word for it.

New member, looking for my retirement project.

Copy the ones off of here and put them on a thumb drive. That way you can take all of them everywhere. But don't be afraid to print. Trees are a renewable resource.

    Working on the M1078 LMTV

Ok now I'm officially starting to be concerned that this was a parts vehicle. I guess until it starts and runs on it's own I'm going to remain concerned. Suprman if you have one let me know the damage. I can only hope this is the last missing part.

LMTV / FMTV AC Air Conditioner Compressor Mounting Brackets Install Write Up

Great write up. Now I'm sufficiently concerned about doing this myself though. I'm pretty good at "here's a part. Put it there. Plug it in. Start the truck." I'm going to be studying this long and hard before I dive in to it. Has anyone had luck locating the condenser brackets? Those and...

    Working on the M1078 LMTV

As a former claims adjuster I always tell people to keep driving if an animal runs out in front of you. You hit that and it's a Comp claim (usually lower deductible and no points). If you swerve to miss you're more likely to have a major crash and if there was no contact with the animal then...
